You do know that was all meant as a joke, I thought about it after I posted it. No malice here

pathetic really, what's wrong with you today?
Has your chain been rattled?
Do you want to share something with the group?

(sarcastic remarks, not a question, you know, kicking when down.)

You should shower before bed, keeps the sheets cleaner and saves a few minutes in the morning.

I do, I take a shower before I go to bed, and I take one in the morning.

congrats on the new job Markus.

That spiral light thing was on the news here, apparantly some russion missile launch. Norway is quite close to Russia up there.

Stijn, I need to come to Belgium and drink one of those beers. My best friend is in Brussels right now and I'm planning on coming down in the spring.

I was in Oslo yesterday, picking up my ridgeline from the shop- is it normal for a new car to need a valve adjustment after only 25K miles? and isn't that a warranty thing? I'm excited to get the outragous shop bill for what was supposed to be an oil and filter change service. I've only had the thing one year.

Anyways, right next door is a place that sells porsches. I am still surprised at how small they are. I saw a really nice RS that i liked alot and was actually not as expensive as I thought it would be. only thing is, it was a 2001 GT3 RS that thing was bad a$$.

going up to sweden today with the first load of stuff for the cottage. we're going to stay over and make a run to Ostersund, the closest place with proper building supplies stores where things are quite a bit cheaper than in norway.
I would say that is unusual. Most engines have hydraulic valve lifters. My El Camino has 279,000 miles and the valves have NEVER been adjusted, they don't need to be adjusted.

I have no idea what type of valves lifters a Honda engine uses but I can't imagine it has solid lifters. Look in your owners manual. See if there is any mention of valve adjustment in there.

If the repair shop you are using tells you the muffler bearings need to be replaced and your taillight fluid was low and they topped it off you will know for sure they are scamming you.

Stijn, what's the point of having thermally insulated windows with highly thermally conducting frames? Why not go for insulted frames?

aluminium is just the finish, it's not solid aluminium framing.

This is what i'll get, it's dutch text, but you can see the diagrams and whatnot.

http://www.lein.be/pdfbestand/nl/nl_reynaers/nl_cs68.pdf

The alternatives are wood frame, maintenance
or a similar frame with PVC finish, which is a bit cheap looking, and turns dull after some years...

The aluminium is anodized, then powdercoated.. very durable and looks nice too.

Thermally, it's very well insulated, if it's 20 C inside the house, and 0C outside.. the inside of the window should be no less then 17C.
I could only get more if i went with triple glazing, but that would not be cost effective, since that would assume the rest of the house is a newly built, modern insulated house, close to a passive house (one that does not even need heating)
My house is from 1923, so if i were to pay for the triple glazing , i'de loose the bit i gained in the window, trough the wall instead...

not to take you all off track but I gotta say... I had my entire semester's work due today and for the most part got it all done. One of my papers however was probably one of the worst papers I've ever written. The wording was great but the math wasn't there. It was basically 20 pages of me talking out my ass.

Oh well. Back to doing the fun research- building race cars
