So you keep saying Rick... don't get any ideas yourself...

Btw, the sauce, i nailed it.

Wasn't to sure, Had a sharp taste to it when i had done the sauce, but after cooking some more, with the meat balls, the tang went away, taste and thickness is juuuuust right now.

Morning (afternoon) men,

Bought me some proper tools yesterday.

Two torque wrenches (8-40Nm and 40-200)
See linky, cool stuff, NOT CHEAP!!
http://www.gedore.de/en/products/group_articles.html?pm_id=56868&oe_opt[list_set]=28362,56861,56862,56863,56868
They are only for tightening nut and bolts, only clockwise, nothing else.

A proper set or rachet keys, spinrgcomperssors, good set of allen keys, spanners, and a lot of other stuff.
I spent about 700€ taxes INcluded.
It's nice when you can get godd stuff for cheap;

Now off to do some wrenching!!!

remember, torque wrenches are not accurate in the extremes of their scale

you got one 40-200 nm... that means you shouldn't use it for things that need to be fastened around 45 nm or around 190 nm...
The one 8 to 40 nm, is really only good for torque'ing around 20-30 nm... torque that low, don't need a torque wrench for that, it's just a bit over finger-tight anyway...
so you probably could have done without that one...And would have been better off getting one to overlap with the bigger torque wrench...

I didn't have the budget to buy three with overlapping scales.
Besides, calibration report says they're pretty accurate, so I'll have to do with what I've got for now.

the calibration goes out the window when you use em at the extremes of the scale.

Calibration report says 0,65% errormargin at 40NM (lowest) and again something like that at 200Nm.
Largest error is 0,88% at 120Nm.
I can set it lower than 40Nm and higher than 200Nm but there are no scale markings lower or higher than that.
I'm guessing that the tool is calibrated correctly between these values and that errors become larger as I go lower or higher than this range.
This is a high quality tool, so I'm not really worried.

Tomorrow I need the the camshaft tool, that I will borrow from my friend mechanic.
And I need to get my P201 adapted, I'm still disassembling the engine on the wooden palette...

don't set it higher or lower then the scale, that's bad for the spring inside.
When you store it, set it to about 20%, not the lowest setting

Rick, you know more about this... what's your take on this?

I never go beyond the scale, and I have an electronic unit, I simply push the off button. Sorry

For the low torque ranges I use a old bar - deflection type torque wrench. It is a pain to use if you can't get a good view of the scale. I think I NEED an electronic torque wrench now. That sounds a lot cooler than my old click type.
