Ha! that made me spit coffee Joe:D
|
I almost pissed myself the first time he did it. It is hilarious!
PETA hates my dog and I, I'm sure of that. |

I made a nice hot glass of fresh, organic lemongrass tea and I have no honey or sugar.
|
Giggle.....both pretty cute ;)
|
We've got some sugar over here, if you want to come over. Little Noah's been on an apples and honey kick lately, so we're out of that.

So, Herr Stijn, how will the 50k milestone be celebrated? A brotherhood weekend at your place? :) |

Howdy Doc!
Night gents... |
Hi Markus
Night Joe Not something I've had before Dave. Was just reading up on Lemongrass tea. Balinese don't bother with sweetner. What's it like? I eat a lot of asian food and use a lot of lemongrass. I may just give it a go. |
I planted it a couple of years ago, after my mom had mentioned that it could be made into a tea and had medicinal properties. She read an article that mentioned how it could possible help in the prevention and possibly the reversal of cancer. She has been living with lung cancer for the past 7 years. It seems that in laboratory studies, it caused cancer cells to self destruct. It seems that our cells are programed to self destruct if something goes wrong. Most of the time it works, but I guess cancer prevents that from happening and the cells keep mutating. In the lab, the cancer cells would start to die off, but normal cells would not. I doubt it's a cure-all, but maybe it can help.
I am not really into tea, but I planted some lemongrass for my mom a couple of years ago. She made some tea a couple of times, but then lost interest. She has been off her chemo pills for a while now - doctor took her off, so I revisited the lemongrass/cancer thing. No real changes, but nothing new that says it's bad for you. I decided to try and make the tea a couple nights ago and figured if I drank it, maybe my mom would too and she did. :D As I was reading up on it, I found out that it may help with insomnia, which I suffer from. So I figured I'd give it a try. As for taste, it's probably like taking lemon and squeezing it in your water. It has a lemon flavor, but not terribly strong. The honey is mostly for me. Makes drinking a hot water more palatable. |
Thanks Dave,
Didn't know about all that and I eat lemongrass fairly regular. I too suffer from insomnia at times, I think I will give it a go. I can honestly say I learned something new today ;) |
Howdy.
Markus ,I think that post should be saved for you. Its only days away. |
FYI. It's also a diuretic. :D
This is the video I followed. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tDHpnWR4xu8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Glad that your mum's in remission Dave. Horrible thing that, it gets far too many of us and often out of the blue.
