I think 1st gear on the 930 is cut on the mainshaft since 2nd is fixed on the 901/911 transaxles. So the issue is irrelevant because you do not want to pay for a different mainshaft.

For some reason my computer has decided that it only wants to save pictures in bitmap format. Even though no images here are bitmap it saves them as bitmap. Occasionally on Early S I can get a jpeg to save.
This happened before but I can't remember what I did to fix it. I can convert the files after saving but that is a real pain. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1330050998.jpg |
I really hate the alarm in my 911. The thing gives me a heart attack. It's got two airhorns for the alarm itserrlf and it also triggers the normal horn. The alarm horns predate the decibel laws and are really loud. I guess I have not driven the 911 in a while and there battery is starting to go. It did not start and tripped the alarm.
|
No alarm on mine but the normal horn is really loud. We had a friend's kid in the front seat (car parked and off) and he hit the horn button. The reaction from his Dad was great. :D
I feel like Jeremy Clarkson with the Merc Grosser limo getting into the horn race in the parking structure. |
I have no clue what the factory alarm sounds like on the 944. I've never even messed with it. I used to leave the key to it and the wheel locks in the center console. I got rid of the AL lug nuts, and stopped carrying those keys....
