get that sensor out, put an electrical resistance meter on it.

Measure when cold, then put it in boiling water, measure again.
There should be some reference data on the forum for your particular sensor
But if you don't see a change , that's a dead giveaway that the sensor is bust.

You gotta have a decent working engine temp sensor, or it's not going to happen.

For all you know, that sensor is now telling the rest of the CIS, that your engine is permanently hot, even when it's cold...
If the sensor checks out, check the wiring, make sure it's powered..could be a broken wire

Morning, all!

I'm going to be living in a conference room for at least half the day today. Meetings suck.

Good morning all.

It is a bit amazing that with the international cast of regular characters in this thread we have no one from Great Brittan. Several from down under, California and Oklahoma. A a few left coast folks and several from Europe but none from the land of Lucas electronics. Maybe that is the problem, they are using Lucas computers!

From the history I know of WW2 the British people suffered a lot trying to do what was right to stop Hitler. How many countries will say "that is not right" and go against a very powerful enemy and risk horrible losses and defeat to save another country. It sure is not France, they are the ones getting rescued.

The video of the poster is so typical of the British of WW2. Good flick Sid, thanks for posting it.
