my brain hurts, the list of what needs to be done before we head east , or west depending on the days flights and when the day is and a heap of other factors, I digress the list grows, and grows and grows. What to do, when to do it, how to do it, what to put in storage, what to get rid of, what .............when.............who................p lanning, its all in the planning. Maybe I should start a project managment plan, list everything, timings etc, put up a gant chart on the fridge with a countdown clock on the coffee table.... lol

my head hurts!!

When you get there I will invite you to a local Porsche forum that is based in the Northern Virginia area. Lots of really good local people. Many of which I have become friends with and stay in contact with even though I don't post there much

OK, here's a technical question:

I've had an intermittent problem with a bouncing tach. The car runs fine, but the tach will bop around like it's not connected to anything. I had the engine pulled in January to fix some oil leaks. When the motor was reinstalled, the problem resolved...for a few weeks. It won't do it all the time, just intermittently. As the battery was 7 years old, I replaced it. Problem went away...for a couple weeks more. Then it returned. The charging system (measured at the battery with motor running/revving) seems to be working fine, but those measurements were taken while the tach was working fine. Headlights/instrument lights work fine and are at their baseline barely luminescent H5 glow. I even swapped in a loaner tach, which also worked fine ... for a bit. I was going to drop my old tach off at North Hollywood Speedometer for repair when, on the way to work today, I just caught out of the corner of my eye an erratic tach bounce. Couldn't reproduce it for the rest of the drive, though.

So am I just kidding myself and do I need to swap out the alternator & voltage regulator?

edit: I'm sorry. Am I interrupting your regularly scheduled programming on chicks, beer, and guns with a technical issue?

Wow, y'all have been busy today. That took ages to come up to speed. We're down on the Great Ocean Rd in Victoria (where Vas hails from) now. Plan on some sight seeing in the morn, will post some pics.

Sid, allergies are no fun. I suffered BIG time most of my life. Almost 20 years ago I started going to the Oklahoma allergy clinic. They do a little torture test and find out exactly what you are allergic to. The mix up a very dilute version of all the stuff you are allergic to and give you a shot in the arm once a week. Now they just mail me my injection vials and my wife gives me the shots. My allergies are orders of magnitude better. Now I my injections are just one every two weeks. It will no be long before I am off of them all together. It has taken 20 years and some money but it is amazing to go through spring with virtually no allergy symptoms.

I just have one or two bad spells per year. If I keep up with meds its not too bad really. I've looked at the shots, but its a bit of a pain for me, seeing as for a bit at the start it would require driving up there weekly....

I would think you could set the shots to be done at with the school nurse. But yea, it would be a pain to drive in. I hated the period when they made me go into the office for the shots.

Tgif!!

Hi guys, girl on my mind, little time to post here.
Dave, Kris is bugging me about the Scottsville pics.... He needs them to make a photobook of our trip.
Any progress? Can we get the unedited versions, maybe scaled down to a sendable size?
