Skiing, hiking, biking, walking, photography, painting, drawing, surfing, swimming, water skiing, kayaking, tennis, golf..... Need I go on?

Flying.

Flieger 04-17-2012 10:37 PM

I am skeptical about some of those activities being good places to meet single young women.

Flieger 04-17-2012 10:38 PM

Oh, you added flying. I think I will take that up. A race to the air between you and me? :D

HHI944 04-17-2012 10:41 PM

Yeah, I got way to emotionally invested in that unstable female dog......

HHI944 04-17-2012 10:42 PM

Its still plaguing me as im pretty timid about anyone in whom I have real interest past physical........at least I recognize the problem....just gotta push on....

Flieger 04-17-2012 10:43 PM

Actually drawing, painting, and photography sound fun. Not that I would want to spend money on a class. But if there were a less formal group painting sunsets or something I could see doing that ocasionally.

Flieger 04-17-2012 10:46 PM

Some of the prettiest sunsets I have seen have been while in the car driving through the Avila Beach area, or in Gaviota. There are pretty spectacular ones here in SLO with the rocky peaks, though. I never used to like Gulf racing colors until I noticed that a sunset on the ocean has those exact colors. Gives me pleasant memories.

You and me both.

Hmm. This song is speaking to me.

Dude! Find out what clubs there are. I'm telling you, Poly has a bunch. They all probably have a small fee, but it won't break the bank.

I forgot bowling.

Flieger 04-17-2012 11:02 PM

At the moment I don't have free time and what I do I feel I need to give to the FSAE team. After competition maybe.

slodave 04-17-2012 11:05 PM

I don't know what to tell you, Max. You ask for advice, you are given advice, and then you come up with a reason for not being able to do anything that was suggested. Instead of hanging out here during the day, go out and implement all of this wonderful knowledge you have been given. I can't imagine that your ENTIRE day is filled.

HHI944 04-17-2012 11:05 PM

Part of ne says that going all sheen (minus the coke) would be the best thing......the other part of ne just isn't interested.........

Flieger 04-17-2012 11:06 PM

True. I am just back to making excuses.

Flieger 04-17-2012 11:08 PM

Once I meet someone I am sure I would find time. But when I don't know where I am going I just end up feeling like I should stick with what I know and do the schoolwork that I must do.

slodave 04-17-2012 11:08 PM

I have a glass that has a little water in it and a few seeds that I am trying to germinate. I am using the exhaust from the laptop to keep the water warm. I have a feeling I will be drinking the water and seeds before the night is through. I've already grabbed it once.

Flieger 04-17-2012 11:09 PM

You sound impatient. :)

slodave 04-17-2012 11:12 PM

Why? Because I am trying to germinate the seeds or my sentence structure above?

I'm just trying to be efficient with the seeds. I have spent the past few growing seasons trying to get various vegetables to grow with little luck. I found that I can at least get them to start growing faster if soaked in water. I have been able to get some seeds that are supposed to germinate in about 5 days to sprout in 24 hours.
