Howdy Jeff

Disappeared to check on my pot of chili

Had a great day today. Busy, busy, busy, the afternoon flew by. Always a good thing.

'sup Rick?

Rick V 04-12-2012 01:38 AM

Nada, I reckon I will be going back to work today. It will be interesting to see what kind of a mess they left for me to clean up.

Outback Porsche 04-12-2012 02:00 AM

Sorry, I buggered off again - honeydos ;)

I get the same thing when I go away, my workshop turns into the dump. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday, to find it still in a clean state after my extended long weekend.

Rick V 04-12-2012 02:05 AM

They leave all manner of un done crap for me to catch back up on.

Outback Porsche 04-12-2012 02:07 AM

Now the pups are pestering me for some tucka. Back in a jiffy.

w00t, found me some m14 20- round mags
a harris bipod
and nato 7.62 ammo can's in a rack http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1334223074.jpg

Rick V 04-12-2012 02:49 AM

What is the capacity limit for you?

svandamme 04-12-2012 03:00 AM

none.. have one 20 rounder now

it's just that they are hard to find around here..

And MidwayGermany won't ship em cross border.. (they never were that picky about arms export in 14/18 or 40/44!!)
Found a dude that sells all sorts now, from germany, he ships
Says they are SpringField Armory for 35 euro.. which is on the cheap end for SA mags. here, Midway has 10 rounders for 60 euro, checkmates for 45

So i'm not sure what he will ship me, knock offs, old gi mags(which would be fine too) or SAI mags (which really is Checkmate industries, OEM for US GI mags)..
But i'll try em.. And if they work, might get me some more..

I still would like at least 1 10 rounder, because that's easier at the range in prone position

evening Gents!!

missing long time eh, life is just a list of things to do. Spent Easter babysitting a friends farm of obscure looking animals, peacocks, goats, pigs, chooks, dog, cat, snakes *snakes weren't pets they just live there, yuk).

It will take me a week to catch up with y'alls couple of weeks doings.

svandamme 04-12-2012 04:55 AM

hiya Azza!

azzarule 04-12-2012 05:02 AM

oh yeah, finally got the internet connection fixed, after three visits by the telco dh, he blamed everything to do with my central filter, individual filters on the phone connections and extensions, filters on the satallite "TV, back to base alarm, the telephone exchange, cost me a fortune in new bits (to be contested) and finally he checked the pole from whence my internet comes from their pole to my house, their infrastructure, the connection at the pole was heavily corroded and barely hanging in there, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!! bucking whander, oh no it couldn't be their equipment, it was my patch panel, my wi-fi router, my blue throughout the house cabling, my everything!! I felt like shoving his corrosion right up his ar5e! He had been so high and mighty that it was my fault, and unless I climbed the pole and poured salt or acid into their connection its not! A win for the little guy, now I just have to tell them to get stuffed if they try to bill me for the **** they replaced, that had nothing wrong with it.

azzarule 04-12-2012 05:04 AM

hi ya Stijn!!

Spring is spinging over there, a few of the guys and gals from work are coming your way to do a commemoration and internment ceremony for an Aussie who was found inside his plane in one of the rivers over there in piccardy somewhere I think.

azzarule 04-12-2012 05:05 AM

they are funning around work trying to figure out what they should do, what they should see, where they should go, on their days off. So jealous

azzarule 04-12-2012 05:06 AM

geez I think it must be time for me to stop typing, its 5hit, so many spelling mistakes,

Jim Richards 04-12-2012 05:08 AM

No worries, Azza. You've got a lot of catching up to do here.

azzarule 04-12-2012 05:33 AM

Hi Jim, I think I need to go back about 50 pages, and I just got the shock of the photo of some woman version of Arnnie Schwarzenneger, holy 5hit, that was uuuuuugggly, have to go to bed to get that picture out of my mind!!

Night all

Tell em to visit Eperleques Blockhaus V1/V2 installation.. well worth the trip, not to far from Piccardie near St Omer.

Else, Ypres, Last Post.. If they have a chance , a bit further, but also well worth it..

the 2 could be combined in one day/evening.. or if they have some more time available.. do eperleques, visit the last post , hotel in ypres,
then visit some more of the battlefields the day after, or visit something more touristic like the city of Brugge, or even better Gent (Gent is more authentic)..
