Historically I have not 'done' hats. So even though my new haircut allows it more, I still did not bring one. I also did not know if it would be too windy for one.

I'm not much of a hat person either, but I learned to appreciate one very quickly.

Actually, the only hats I have are a stocking cap and a baseball hat.

I've always got a baseball cap around. Particularly when I'm sporting helmet head.

Yeah, it was not much help last time I was there and it was about 55-60 degrees with a windchill of what felt like about 25! I don't have a windbreaker and the wind got through my fleecey Flying Lizard jacket and the beanie I had under my hood (which would not stay up in the wind).

Though sounds like had Regan been wearing those (driving) mocs, not only would you have commented on them, you would have noted their SFI rating, too.

Yeah, fleece = not so good in the wind. I found that out on many a midnight watch while sailing in the Caribbean. Fleece + windbreaker.

These didn't look like driving moccasins. Regan had normal converse sneakers on when I talked to her. She had changed out of her driving shoes.
