The Mayor hates me...........

Isn't a new light just going to end up costing that small town even more anyway? I'm surprised they want to spend the money.

svandamme 04-17-2012 01:59 AM

yeah, what is their motivation to put up that light?
What's in it for them?

Rick V 04-17-2012 01:59 AM

No the power company will install the lights for free and the electric bill gets split by the people who are serviced from the pole that it is attached to, so I would have ended up paying for 1/4 of that. Like I said they would run out of lights long before I ran out of shotgun shells.
The lack of resource conservation was one of my points.

Big brother syndrome.

slodave 04-17-2012 02:02 AM

Is it a county power company? I'm under city power.

Rick V 04-17-2012 02:09 AM

Round these parts the power companies serve all. There is no city/country split. Next I am going after the old ***** across the street that has my house lit up from all of her lights. She will be buying shades.

Like SoCal Edison that services a huge portion of... SoCal.

Rick V 04-17-2012 02:15 AM

My power company services from about my place to central NC

Gotcha

slodave 04-17-2012 02:36 AM

On the bright side, I have a smelly 911 and, if I stick with it - and I will - I'll have a license to fly equally smelly planes, but at a totally cooler level.

svandamme 04-17-2012 02:39 AM
