Yup, I will be done with finals on the 6th... Which is good, as I fly to SD on the 12th....

No rest for the wicked....

Morning Y'all.
Well tonight is the Susan Tedeschi concert. She is bringing her husband Derrik Trucks with her. I just hope this is blues oriented and not hill billy.
Oh and the ghost from my past is head of security at this venue. Could get that handled tonight as well.

Most people avoided me yesterday. We are armed with the info supplied to us by the mortgage company and it shows how they have been goofing up since 02 and it is snowballing. I am going to let my credit union go after them, and the state attorney general, and the FBI fraud division. all free to me and if they do anything, very costly to PHH.

I think so, Rick. The Aussies and Kiwis are dear friends, so we must all be invited to the party.

When the company I worked for screwed up my withholding causing me to owe $2700, I was outraged. They had changed my dependents. They just said it was my responsibility to make sure they were withholding enough, not theirs. Even though I had turned in the proper W-4.

Luckily I made a mathematical error on my 1040 EZ so I only paid in $200 on tax day. That would give me 7 months to raise the $2500 before they found my error and required payment without penalty or interest. Even more luckily the IRS never found the error. Kept an extra $2500 in the bank for 7 years just in case I was audited and they found the mistake.

So at the poker game once a month one of the guys is a public defender and gets clients that are "strippers." The group jokes about him getting a stripper to waitress our poker games. Instead he brings a MILF from his office that doesn't just waitress, but brings drinks enough for all and plays poker too. She is a pretty fun gal that is not easily offended.

Now a couple of the guys (the non-drinkers) are actually complaining that she is there?!? arrrrgh.

Good morning folks.

Happy ANZAC day to the folks from the land down under. I will admit to my ignorance. I had to Google ANZAC day. If it were not for the movie Gallipoli I would have never heard about that battle. They don't teach much about wars in other countries at the schools I went to. Like a lot of kids I hated history when I was in school. Now I find it very interesting.

Re: star ratings on threads.

I don't smoke anything, so I have no dog in the fight. But I noticed that the cigar/humidor thread (the thread directly below this one right now) has a one-star rating. WTF? Who goes around pissing on people's parades all the time? I could understand if the thread was offensive, politically-charged, in poor taste, mean-spirited, etc. But if you don't care for cigars, why go to the effort of trying to make people feel bad?

I never ever look at the star ratings.
