Well, three of you live in OK so I guess we should consider that. I could make it out to OK. There is a competition I want to go to out there in April.

We can have a mini Stijn potluck?

Men! Why do they have to urn everything into a competition? Hmpf!

Morning Rick, Dave,

I see your weather has improved this morning Rick, bit warmer and a good looking weekend for us too, then a bit of rain coming, our area is very very dry. Wonder what this years summer is going to be like if this warmer Winter keeps up. After coming from a hot dry dust bowl, I would prefer that Maryland was a bit wetter and since we are surrounded by trees, well, a tad worried about fires.

Good morning folks.

The puppy second from the left. will likely soon be in the Carrera household. He is 6 weeks old now and the breeder will not sell puppies until they are 9 weeks old. The same breeder has a longhair female that is 2.5 years old that we will get at the same time. The adult dog is being tested for a genetic trait before we get the dogs. Our old long haired male went blind because of the trait. Some long hair dachshunds have the trait of retinal myopia. We don't want to do go through that again. So in about 3 weeks we will have an adult and a puppy.

It looks like a nice weekend here. I'm feeling a bit under the weather...hopefully just my allergies kicking in.

Morning all. Cute little bugger have fun. Too cold to hold band practice in the garage this weekend so the kids get a treat. We will be renting a rehearsal room for them.

Glen,

so cute, and I think that its good to get two as well, then they will always have a companion to play with, also the older one will assist with puppy training, being a good example for the puppy.

My dog doesn't want to be part of a pack, she wants to be THE ALPHA!

Got her at 6 weeks. She was already house broken. She was born on a farm and was using the doggie door by her self to go outside. I thought that meant she was smart. Instead it meant she was the Alpha and was doing what the big dogs were doing. It was nice that I didn't have to house break her, but housebreaking is basically how you teach a dog what "No" means. I had a horrible time training her, I took a year to get her to stop biting. If she hadn't started imitating sounds, ie. talking, I would have tried to get rid of her for another puppy. She still has her own agenda and does not mind very well.
