Rick, sometimes our experiences overlap. I have a pair of work boots that are actually the Air Force issue boots for new recruits. I have owned them since 1972, so 40 years ago! I don't wear them very often, but during the winter if I need some real boots I will tie them on. I bought them when I was in high school.

I'm absolutely knackered this morning

It was territory day yesterday and the fireworks finally stopped around 3am. The pups wouldn't go outside the house until it was all over. We also have the young border collies sister staying for a few weeks, all they wanted to do was play fight all around the house. When the two of them get together it's a rolling ball of black and white fur with two heads and eight legs. Did get much sleep until they went outside this morning.
