No, no signs of any fight.

Flieger 07-17-2012 09:12 PM

A cat I had years ago got stung by a bee on his paw. Swelled up a bit.

I'm surprised the "." button has not worn out on Sidney's keyboard.

Zing! D

Flieger 07-17-2012 09:20 PM

That was supposed to be a :D but that : key is not working too well.... ;)

Flieger 07-17-2012 09:25 PM

It is weird. It almost feels like there is something stuck under those keys but I can't see any evidence of that.

I was thinking spider bite, too. There have been quite a few bees around the house this past week.

Crumbs, bird seed, sand.

Name 3 things that can chafe if they're in a place they're not supposed to be?

slodave 07-17-2012 09:29 PM

That's what is still in my keyboard, messing up various keys. The right side of the keyboard went out yesterday, banged on it a few times, heard a crunch and all is well again.

I don't have a pet bird and I don't eat foods near my computer that cause crumbs. I guess it could be some sort of sand.

From all the beach bunnies cavorting through your dorm room?

slodave 07-17-2012 09:37 PM

Remember. Sand gets everywhere! It's alive and moves.

Noah930 07-17-2012 09:41 PM

Yes, I have to ask Anna everytime before I take off her shoes if she's got any sand in them from the playground at school/the park.

She's always sticky. She's always got a fruity or sweet smell on her cheeks. And she's always got sand in her shoes.

Thanks for sparing me the green text.

I was in the hangar trying to get the motor controller sorted but the EE never called like we had arranged. He is in the Maldives diving and leaves for Sri Lanka where he won't have internet so looks like the test drive will have to wait. I had the cable hooked up and the software loaded but I could not get the controller powered up. I made sure all the emergency stop buttons were in the go position and those sorts of things and then talked to another team member but she is an ME as well. So we got close, but the mission was incomplete.

So there was dirt and stuff in the hangar. Could be from that.

What I meant was I made sure the girls wiped their feet before coming in...

Noah930 07-17-2012 10:01 PM

Granted you're not an EE, but there's no way you can figure out how to power up the motor without the EE there? What kind of engineer are you? Whatever happened to necessity being the mother of invention? Be a MacGuyer, get the job done without the slacka$$ EE, and drive that puppy like you stole it. (Which, technically, you might have.)

slodave 07-17-2012 10:02 PM

Totally agree with Alarick.

It's not their feet you should be wiping. You're doing it wrong.
