meh. i've outgrown the .40SW and never shoot it. an AR is just what is needed.

Rick V 09-12-2012 03:52 PM

Kinda hard to carry an AR under the seat or on the bike

i rarely take the pistol with me. further, its just too big and heavy for conceal/carry work. if i were to do it all over again, i'd get a revolver in .357 or .38 and shoot .38SP out of it. i'll probably do just that, next spring.

I'm just yanking your chain. Good luck with the sale. And don't use steel (russian) ammo in the AR it is bad ju-ju

nynor 09-12-2012 03:59 PM

like this:

Smith and Wesson 442 Airweight 38SP+P, 1 7/8 Inch, Black Finish, Fixed Sights, Rubber Grips, 5rd - Impact Guns

pshaw.... reloads, man. c'mon!

Rick V 09-12-2012 04:07 PM

If you check around sometimes you can buy it cheaper than reloading.

Porsche-poor 09-12-2012 04:08 PM

he is right buy the cheap stuff to plink, do reloads for when you want to drive nails with it.

Porsche-poor 09-12-2012 04:09 PM

Man I just said Rick is right.....

so once again it is Rick's fault!!!!!

You'll get over it. :)

I find the cheap stuff is just as accurate as the high dollar stuff. Although I do have a carbine with a 9-1 barrel. It is pretty much a tack driver for a few hundred yards. Thats about all a 5.56 is good for any IMO in a 52-55gr

nynor 09-12-2012 04:13 PM

i am also open to other calibers and such. if i sold the pistol outright, i'd be tempted to get something in 22-250 or 243. although they have a nice smith and wesson ar15 m-p at the local gunshop for nice price. i fondled it.

Rick V 09-12-2012 04:14 PM

Get the AR, you already have a reach out and touch someone type of rifle

i was shooting my buddy's AR on monday. the 300yd silhouette was child's play (iron sights). i took a potshot at the 450yd gong (it is about the size of man from the crotch up, so a bit bigger than the other silhouettes) and i swear i hit it. that gun is damn fun.

hehe! you should have seen the group my friend shot with it. he was rather impressed. especially for a rig that set me back about $650, including optics.
