Maaaaax, do bugger all until you finish your project (unless it's her idea - even then be careful). If it all goes south during your project, the results could be more than disastrous personally and professionally.

Let the working relationship blossom into something else by itself - what will be will be.

Just be nice and polite, and give her lots of attention (and mostly ignore the other d**k in your team). Be yourself. Who knows how lucky you can get.

what does the collective know about Norton ghost?

I use the versions on the Windows PE disks. Been a while since I last used it, but what do you want to know?

I could probably find a use for the one lying on the floor

Not sure, but I get the feeling that the missus probably wouldn't be too happy if she followed me home....

I finally got over one hurdle. I could not get the dang mirrored raid to work. From the first smoke test I heard a funny click. I thought it might be the power supply. It was one of the hard drives. I grabbed a drive from the other system I have not built yet and the rainbows came out and unicorns were leaping in joy. The RAID set up in seconds with no need of a dang USB floppy and Win 7 started installing. Now I still need to figure out how to get the network to work. :(

We have a request for a RMA to send the bad drive back. The joys of building computers.

dead HDD's are a pain.

Shouldn't be a problem with ghost. Just take an image of one and dump it to the other. It should look just like you loaded it all up and did a defrag. One of the few things the windows PE disk is useful for.

G'day Dave,

Been known to do this on the odd occasion (mostly back in my airforce days) :D

Porsche-poor 09-27-2012 08:09 PM

Yawn. One more day.

slodave 09-27-2012 08:10 PM

And then another, and another. Up until Dec. 21. Then it's all over!

Porsche-poor 09-27-2012 08:13 PM

Why? What did I miss? I might just put off everything then.

slodave 09-27-2012 08:15 PM

Where have you been??

That's basically what my plan was/is. Those were the consequences I was talking about.

After the meeting tonight the team lead talked to a few of the subsystem leads like me. Everyone else had left. They he says "Your senior project partner sure is cute. Good luck with that."... :D
