I suppose that's one of the benefits of working in an office that does cosmetic surgery. There are frequently pics of nekkid people on computers and what not. Heck, we even have a pin-up calendar in the lunch room (former patient).

I'd cry foul but then I'll catch up on the phone at home.

Yea, work is getting in the way of playing.

I have the new computer configured and running. On the old systems it would take 30 to 40 seconds to rotate a one gig image. The new system does it in 3 seconds! :D:D:D:D:

I can apply a color curve in 3 seconds. It SCREAMS!!!

I noticed the temperature was a little warm and check the AC. It is a no go. :(

I went outside and noticed large pieces of ceramic and metal under the power pole next to our building. I look up and see and see a fuse blown. I call the power company and they sent a truck right out. New fuse and still no 3 phase. :(
The ceramic parts are the remains of the lightning arrestor.

The transformer is blown. Now they get to replace the transformer and we still have no AC. And yes our AC system is 3 phase. It does not work without the all the phases.

Evening Y'all. Welp I almost clocked my boss today, That little son of a ___________ decided to push the wrong buttons.

GH85Carrera 09-28-2012 03:12 PM

Rick, general rule of thumb, don't smack the boss. It can get ya fired and arrested.

The power company cut the power to our building at about 3:30 I asked them to tell me a little before they shut us down to warn us. He replied "get ready we are gonna kill the power." We just had time to go through the building and shut down all the computers, four RAIDS, printers, scanners and network equipment. Then we had to shut off all the battery backups. It is scary to shut down everything. The building sure is quiet with everything off. There are no windows except the front door. It is one dark place with no electricity.

The little transformer on the left is the one that is getting replaced.

Hola from SoCal, guys and gals. Nice breeze here, and thank goodness there is as the house has been closed up for 3 months. Ack. Should get rid of the stuffiness in the next hour or so.

Hmm. Where's Dave? Saw your FB photos of the balsa/birch/maple/ash/ebony shift knobs. Very cool. I've also got another issue of Rolling Stone with your name on it. (Well, not literally, but you know what I mean.)
