actually, 1ml of air per kg of ideal body weight. thus, me, at ~6 feet, would take about 80ml of air. that is quite a bit. probably eight times the entire volume of the syringes being used with the vanco.

I have no idea about availability of those specific programs, but I just cancel led my cable and just use hulu and Netflix.....works with the apple TV and my tablet and phone.

I know it takes a lot of air, but the PICC dumps off very close to my heart. I prefer no air injection into my heart.

nynor 08-25-2012 07:28 PM

yep. the amount of air i posted is due to the size of a person's heart. the amount of air has to nearly cavitate the heart. the air in the line in movies is a myth, for the most part. it really takes a LOT of air.

How does Hulu work? What sort of electronic boxes do you need? The only apple stuff we have are iPods.

tweezers74 08-25-2012 07:50 PM

When I said "to be exact", I meant that in loose terms. But, I have to agree with Glen. Even though I know it takes a lot of air, I attempt to get most of it out.

That is another reason why my product is better than a PICC. Sometimes you can't get around it and you HAVE to have a PICC. But if you don't have to, my product doesn't feed so close to the heart. Less complications. Why be more invasive if you don't have to? It was designed by a ER doc. Interesting stuff.

I don't have tv either. I used Hulu too but found that I didn't even use that.

Hey guys (Dave you don't have to answer if you don't want to :)) My mom wants to cut down our cable bill and she is wondering about streaming programs off the internet to the tv. What is the best way to do this? We like Science Channel, ESPN, CNN, Speed, H2 (formerly history international) and my mom likes this catholic channel called EWTN. Could we get all those (and movies) via something like Hulu? I don't really know what that is other than William Shatner pitches it. :)

No... Not with hulu anyways....

Some shows are on hulu, some aren't. Some (Fox) are on a week later.... Hulu is cool, but it won't replace all of those...

Open web browser, type in hulu.com, browse for tv or movie you want to see. Not much to it.

Stupid McAfee was causing the problem.

Flieger 08-25-2012 08:03 PM

OK, so we would be willing to pay for a service as long as we could get those shows, just looking for less than what the cable company charges. Their boxes are always resetting in one of our rooms and wiping out the guide information and favorite channel lists. Time Warner is the only choice for cable.

I guess we could try satellite?

GH85Carrera 08-25-2012 08:14 PM

The cable companies know they have just a few good channels. The sprinkle those in with the crap no one wants like the religious and shopping networks. To get the channels I want in full HD I have to bend over and take a lot of channels I will never watch. Overall I am happy with my cable company.

There is an actual thunderstorm out there. Come on rain. We want more.

GH85Carrera 08-25-2012 08:20 PM

Time for bed. I guess I should say time for chair. I slept in the recliner last nigh and I will do that again tonight. I can get in and out of the chair easier than the bed. I can't sleep on my side even if I wanted to so the recliner is the best option.

nynor 08-25-2012 08:22 PM

good night glen. i'll be going to bed soon, myself.

Neat. It is very rare to get those out here. Enjoy it! :)

porsche4life 08-25-2012 08:33 PM

You guys can have some of the thunderstorms we have been getting... They get way more wicked lightning down here than we do in OK...

Which is saying something, because its rare to get rain with out lightning and thunder in OK...
Looks like we'll get some water out of issac too... :/

tweezers74 08-25-2012 08:45 PM

There's a lot of action here for a Saturday night. :)

Flieger 08-25-2012 08:49 PM

Well, I am back home for some vacation so no homework although I've got Solidworks open now and flip over here every so often.

slodave 08-25-2012 08:58 PM

Close the ****ing solid works, Max! Vacation is just that, vacation.
