So called? You used them to clean out the blades in the turbo

Jim Richards 11-21-2012 03:27 PM

Gee whiz, Dave, if you would've driven everywhere in reverse, your lug nuts would've tightened themselves. :D

come on, now. the towels were well past the turbo charger. they did clean the valves, however. and then they swabbed the exhaust pipe clean. :D

Rick V 11-21-2012 03:32 PM

Ummmm D, they were ingested by your engine, first the intake valves, then the combustion chambers, then the exhaust valves, onward to the hot side of your turbo then cleaned the exhaust pipe. :)

nynor 11-21-2012 03:33 PM

oh, right. i forgot about the hot side! LOL!

Rick V 11-21-2012 03:33 PM

Yeah you play with that you get blisters.

nynor 11-21-2012 03:36 PM

i think the hot side of the turbo would get you more than blisters.... i bet that thing gets glowing with a high speed run up the canyon. :D

Rick V 11-21-2012 03:37 PM

It gets hot enough to incinerate the toughest paper towels.

Okay I am done with that, but that first phone call was too funny.

nynor 11-21-2012 03:40 PM

ah... i see... you'll dish it to me. its always the one you love! LOL!

yeah, i was freaked out, for sure. i had already gone through the steps of removing the cyl head in my mind.

Guess what is for dinner!

I will even share with the wife and MIL. Since she is cooking tomorrow seems fair for me to cook tonight.

Oorg. Thought I was done for the day, but now I'm waiting for some guy to come down from Bakersfield for surgery. That's a 90-minute drive without traffic--and this is the worst traffic day of the year, IMO.

Rick V 11-21-2012 03:41 PM

Well Dave and blistered fingers could get very ugly very fast. :)
