Good morning folks. We just finished de-boning the turkey. I sampled a few bites. It is a nice quiet no tension day for us. My dad will get here soon. Our thanksgiving would make a very boring TV show or movie. It supposed to be a nice warm day so the weather is not an issue.

nynor 11-22-2012 08:34 AM

Whoaaaa! I never knew that, Rick, :D

MIL and our attack mini schnauzer (14 lbs of fury ;)) are on the couch watching the Macy's parade. Should be a laid back day, except when I get drafted to "help" in the kitchen. Lu was just brandishing a big knife and wailing on a huge sweet potato. I'm trembling in fear. That is all.

Jim Richards 11-22-2012 08:51 AM

Look luck, d!

nynor 11-22-2012 08:55 AM

actually, i think that the diameter of the rim can affect how the coffee tastes due to the olfactory aspect and the surface area of the coffee and unused real-estate inside the cup. just saying. i know this is true with beer...

this is how NOT to spend thanksgiving:

Jim Richards 11-22-2012 09:44 AM

nynor 11-22-2012 09:49 AM

i get to go to work in 45 minutes for a half shift because administration decided to screw all the respiratory therapists equally this thanksgiving. LOL! i still can't believe the level of stupid displayed at my place of employment. this means that i get to do the same thing again tomorrow, in order to get my full time hours.

i am thankful that i have a job to bich about. others are not so fortunate.

Jim Richards 11-22-2012 10:04 AM

Yikes! Two half days to get a full work-day in? Nuts!

nynor 11-22-2012 10:10 AM

yep. goes to show they are smarter than me: just when i think it cannot get more stupid, they top their last.

whatever. it'll be a short day and then i'll do it again tomorrow.

nynor 11-22-2012 10:23 AM

off to the salt mines. you all behave. :D

GH85Carrera 11-22-2012 10:57 AM

Burrrrrpppppp. Whew good food and good company. What can be better.

Right after a big thanksgiving meal my grandfather often said " man if I could feel this way all the time I would quit working for a living". ;)
