It sounds like y'all had a nice time at Seahawks. Sure wish we could've made it. :(

Well found the issue with my Winchester, a piece of carbon wedged up in the trigger group. That was a fun repair.
Jim I wish you guys could have made it, it was a great time. Seahawk is a very gracious host and his big dawg thinks everybody tastes great. Beth was woken up this morning by a three foot wet tongue to the face. :)

how did your tongue get that big? genetics?

Dewd, I can lick my own eyebrows, how do you think a guy like me got a woman like Beth in the first place?

nynor 07-28-2013 01:44 PM

LOL! well played, sir. :)

nynor 07-28-2013 01:45 PM

i do have a question for you, rick: why do you despise .223 ammunition (vs. 5.56)?

Rick V 07-28-2013 01:50 PM

I have my scope sighted in at 150 meters with 55gr. 5.56. If I put 55gr 223 in it they hit an inch low at 150. They are slower. A 5.56 will take out bullet proof glass a 223 won't. I like a better bang for mt buck

Rick V 07-28-2013 01:59 PM

Ohhhhhhhh I forgot. I finally saw a bald eagle in the wild this morning. It was awesome to watch it just glide past me about 20 feet in the air just looking for a fish.

Jim Richards 07-28-2013 02:03 PM

Nice!

They are awesome. I saw a large hawk swoop down and grab a rabbit right in front of my car. Well it was off to the side of the road. Raptors are cool since we are not on the menu.

Ummmmmmmmm Yeah tell that to the osprey that Seahawk has that have built a nest just off shore. I believe they would eat a medium sized adult.

RKDinOKC 07-28-2013 02:24 PM

Saw on Dave Mason's FB he found a little bird and let it fly...it was immediately snatched mid-air by a hawk. He said the birdie was blind so it must have been a little slow flying with it's cane and all.

Rick V 07-28-2013 02:29 PM

Thats cold man, but I like it :D

Evening folks,

glad to hear you got back safe and sound Rick and Beth. Had a ball, even though my boys are quiet, they both loved the throwing lead stuff around, I suppose with me they never really learned to speak as I never shut up long enough!!!

Thanks Paul and Bec for your wonderful hospitality, had a ball. We must get together more often, I know I say that all the time, but then living just gets away again, and we don't see you for months.

Have been packing for the road trip, got stuff to be done early tomorrow before we head off to to Gettysburg and beyond.

azzarule 07-28-2013 07:31 PM

so time for bed for me and the midgets, oh and Steve is off to Biloxi, Mississippi tomorrow, so everyone is going to bed,

Night all, will post pics of the road trip.

:)
