Merry Christmas and a Happy New yr to you all, I'm out of here for 10 days.

Flieger 12-21-2012 05:54 PM

Thanks, catch you on the flip side.

gatotom 12-21-2012 05:55 PM

Flieger, right now in my life I would rather sail than work, sailing out here is a 9-10 month sport.

Hey Glen, thanks a bunch for dropping by the Carne Guisada, Absolutely Deliciouso!

Doc officially took my off all the antibiotics today. Getting close to ordering my special shoes. And being mobile once again.

GH85Carrera 12-21-2012 07:46 PM

Yer welcome.

nynor 12-21-2012 07:51 PM

glen, what product did you use to secure your manifold bolts? and did it work?

slodave 12-21-2012 07:55 PM

Paper towels...

nynor 12-21-2012 07:57 PM

I used some high temp lock-tight red. It is supposed to be good to 450 degrees and inside the head it should be less than that. So far so good.

slodave 12-21-2012 08:04 PM

I should have known better. Especially since the nerves in the tip of my index finger are still angry at me. :D

nynor 12-21-2012 08:05 PM

brilliant. i'll give that a shot. i have one bolt on the rover that keeps coming loose.

Flieger 12-21-2012 08:06 PM

I thought one was supposed to use anti-seize on exhaust nuts. Only use red locktite on stuff you never need to take apart ever again. Or at least not on anything that you can't heat cherry red and beat with a hammer.

slodave 12-21-2012 08:08 PM

There are two manifolds, intake and exhaust. ;)

nynor 12-21-2012 08:10 PM

red loctite isn't that tough, max. i used it put the race exhaust on the 951. it all came apart, no problem, a few months later.
