Yea, I can't get a good read on you through text. I could be completely wrong.

in all seriousness, i haven't responded to many of your posts, so i can't ALWAYS be mocking you....

i am fairly sarcastic. however, i try to be lighthearted with it and rarely mean anything insulting. unless, of course, i do mean something insulting. but i usually try to make it very plain that i am being insulting.

that said, i am pretty straightforward. in the case of the post above, my sincerity may be a little to blatant: i would love to see you do something wickedly funny to get one over on rick (or anyone else for that matter).

i think you may be sensing that i have been a bit stand-offish, actually. and i have. i usually am with people that i don't know. once i get a bit of a handle on the person and their personality, i open up a bit. on the flip side, i am genuinely hurt when someone that i consider my friend takes a pot-shot at me with the intention to hurt my feelings. so, there you go.

in short: if i am mocking you, it is in fun. generally speaking, i don't mock people, except myself (i mock myself all the time).

cheers.

d.

Clearly I'm straightforward too, given that I just asked you outright

All of that makes sense, I get it.
I've noticed people here either like me or I annoy the piss out them, not much in the middle. Which is fine and dandy but, I'd prefer to skip past any passive aggressive stuff.

Okay so far as me being tired, it is winter, nuff said
As for dinner at the mill, that would be a good idea, the food was excellent the last time I was there, and it is just cool.
Now to important matters, getting one over on me? Oh it has been done before, and I do love a good joke even if it is played on me but remember, I always get even-squared.

I'm tired.....

I had trouble dragging my arse out of bed this morning. I'm glad admin have given me a car to myself at the moment. It means I can get here when I get here. Unfortunately, I leave later though......

I'm gunna take some recovery time when it's all done....

Well I married a quiet woman, and I know how she thinks. She usually has my back. Usually

best one yet at work was when the ROTC guy quit to join up. He rigged the entire office with those string pull fire crackers. We spent weeks opeing a new cabinet only to jump.

Howdy folks. We are back from the funeral home. We still have to write the obituary. We found out since my dad is a retired 25 year officer he gets a Air Force honor guard, flag draped casket, dress uniform pall bearers with the flag folding ceremony and 21 gun salute. It will be a tear jerker for me.

That is going to be tough Glen, but stand tall and proud of your dad.

that is cool and thought provoking. to be clear: it is not cool that your father died; it is very cool that he is honored.

again, glen, condolences. my thoughts are with you.

Must say Glen in my 33 year career, (and most of it spent in and around Air Force Head Office on Oz), that I have done one or two honor guards, if the officer is above Air rank then the guard is all Warrant Officers, and these days there aren't as many of them as there used to be, so we would watch for the obituaries and knew when we had a funeral to practice for. Very serious affairs, really gives the retired member a fitting tribute.

A very moving experience for all of the troops who are on the guard.
