So let me get this straight, your mortgage interest is tax deductible?

Our mortgage interest is only tax deductible if a house is rented and earning income, which our house back home is at the moment, which is good, better than having it sit for three years. Its rented at $1000 a week, which is very good me thinks.

Azzy, the tax law in the US is the most convoluted bit of law on the planet. There is a change about 50 times a year. No one on earth truly knows what is in it. There are tons of stupid deductions that the special interest folks slip in.

Don't mind paying for government. It does bother me that there is some sort of tax every time any money changes hands, ought to be just one flat tax rate everyone pays the same and that's it. Way to many cooks in the kitchen.

Taxes. Yuck!
I hate daylight savings time. Yeah, I know. I don't change my clocks, but everybody else does so they assume I do. I will sit on a conference call in silence because they put the wrong time. And automatic clocks get all confused unless they have a special setting called "Arizona" time. Most gadgets have it now. But people don't. Grrrrrrr... |

I'll be "ok" with the time change thing, it's my children who cannot be reasoned with that early that don't understand. The last two days have been a nightmare in the morning.

Ewwwwwww! I didn't think of that, Janet. Oh gosh, my kids would be an issue too. Ok, not complaining anymore. And yes, Arizona is special but in some ways I do not care to discuss.
I don't know what my deal is lately but I am soooooo tired, time change or not. There doesn't seem to be enough coffee to keep me awake. I felt like it was partially not working out as much but for the past month, I have ramped up my activity again and it isn't helping with the energy level. Hmmmfph! Maybe this getting old thing is catching up with me. I did run 3.8 miles this morning, while watching Justin Timberlake on SNL. He is so funny and oddly cute in a bowtie. |

Meeee too Tweez. My thyroid meds were doubled last week( I had to have half taken out last summer because it had gotten hugeeeee) so hopefully I'll bounce back in a couple of weeks with some energy. Tons of coffee in my future with that and the time change.

Had a friend with horribly low energy caused by thyroid problems. After a few years of basically no life to speak of they discovered the whole condition was caused by other meds. Took her off all meds and she very quickly bounced back to 100%.

I don't take anything else. I found a large knot on my neck last summer and was having trouble swallowing.. it was one side of my thyroid way enlarged. So after having a biopsy come back with greater than a 50% chance of it being cancerous..the half was taken out. Typically the other half will make up for the lack of the other but, my dr. suspected the enlarged half was "growing" to try to compensate. In anycase, I take a small does daily but, just had it up'ed because I was starting to feel sluggish again.

I am on no meds at all. And I don't think I have thyroid problems although I never have gotten checked for it. Honestly, I don't think I get my REM sleep. I wake up constantly during the night. Thinking about work, checking the boys, writing something down so I don't forget it the next day. I just need to shut down completely. When I do, I sleep like a rock and for many hours at a time.
