Stijn!!

The Internet is amazing. We have a client that wants several hundred square miles of photography in Kansas for a project we will fly this summer. I found the free government imagery and need to download 4 counties in Kansas. The client is in a hurry to get the preliminary planning ready. I FTP into my work computer with my iPad and start a download to my other computer. I have another file transferring right now. When I get to work in the morning I can put the images together and have the files ready quickly. We will have zero dollars except for electricity that is the same if I download files or not. In the end we will provide him these images very cheap. The project we fly for him will be much more accurate and precise than the free stuff. That is why he will buy it.

See I play the guy game a little differently. I was ready to buy my 911, so I bought Beth her Mercedes waited a month or so, while I looked at cars and said I am ready to buy. She really couldn't tell me no.

Hubby says something similar, whats mine is hers and whats hers is hers!

And I did the same thing with the cars, years ago I let him buy the HSV (fast supercharged car), then I bought him the 911 Pusha. A few years down the track I bought myself Miss Daisy, we got here he wanted a big MF car, he bought the Durango, I waited to find something smaller, searched around for a 911 convertible, and bought Marilyn. See it all works out in the end.

Well to be honest Beth really did need a new car, her back was giving her bad issues and she couldn't handle the clutch in the 635 she was driving. I just used the situation to my advantage.

Stijn!!

I had owned my 914 for 18 years when in got married. My wife told me I needed an air conditioned Porsche after all of her makeup melted in the 914 on a fall trip. I fought against that for 1 or 2 seconds.

Yup, yup, he probably uses another frequently that I've been known to say on the odd occasion...

I'm the boss in my house, I asked the missus and she said I could.

Joint decisions when spending on big ticket items here. Although it does sometimes require a seed being planted by either one of us.

Sharyn is a car nut too, so buying the 944 wasn't an issue. We actually bought it for my son when he got his license, with the intent of us doing it up for him (lucky him hey). It was his DD for his last two years of High School, and it's still his DD when he's home.

He'll get it permanently when I've finished the restoration. That's still a few years away as there's a bucket load of stuff to do before it's all done, and by then he'll probably be able to afford to keep up the maintenance.

Then a 911's turn will come for the same treatment. This obviously a long term plan.

Agggggg. One of my wife's old high school friends is in town. She has some health issues which I can't blame her for. She has a personality that drives me nuts. We "get" to take her to dinner tonight. I get to buy and try to put up with her. Aggggghhhh.

Sounds like my sister in law, I couldn't stand her in high school and things have not improved
