All I know about guitars is they are used to pick up chicks.

Good Luck Rick. I could not tell you if there was one or 1,000 guitar stores around here. To me they are like maternity stores or toy stores. I don't buy em so I don't pay attention to them.

Good Friday morning folks!

I typically ignore "Veteran/Female/Minority owned business" claims... it's usually a technicality for that exact reason. Besides, there's no distinction between a Vet that did 25 years and countless deployments and someone who did the 4 years and stayed state-side. Granted I've never had the desire to do either but, the price one pays is significantly different for both..and yes, both are better than I.

I seem to have a knack with women. They seem to think I am much fitter, better looking, smarter, and more successful than I am. Perhaps it is because I am old fashioned and chivalrous...hold the door, chair, stand when they come the table, carry their bag, etc without coming across as a doormat... I also suspect it is in part because I resemble Charlie Brown from the Peanuts cartoon. Everybody loves Charlie Brown.

Vet or minority owned business sure makes it easier to get govt contracts through set aside though.

Which is exactly why people strategically pick those with the best demographics to be the "owner".

LOL...but that is the point. A guy does not have to be good looking to have women appreciate him...he just needs to not be horrible, be morbidly obese or have poor hygiene. Being well educated, travelled, nicely dressed, professionally accomplished, and empathetic really go a long way. Being able to cook a gourmet meal or wear a suit or tux comfortably/well and then be able to fix the car or install a new hot water heater...and to be gentle enough to make her feel special and at ease but tough enough that she would feel safe with you in the roughest situation.

Looking like Charlie Brown is good because one does not look so dangerous that their guard is up...but not unpleasant or disgusting. It allows one to work in stealth mode.

This is true. Although hubs fights dressing nicely tooth and nail but, he'll do it to make me happy and the fact that he tries to make me happy is important.

...and once you get a little older, there is no competition... Because most men have managed to fall apart physically and any promise of their personal growth is pretty much unfulfilled. Simply being somewhat successful, educated and fit...with your own hair and teeth ...and no disgusting habits or jail time puts you way ahead of most men.

Not being an uptight weiney also helps...at least IMO. I'll take bald, funny and easy going over too-serious stiffy and a full head of hair any day. I hope to never have to get in the game again. Too much work.
