Evening Y'all.
Well there is a reason I stopped buying Porsche parts from a certain distributor due to poor service and a condescending sales person, and that reason was reconfirmed today. Four days shipping that does not include weekends which makes it six days. Today is day six and my part is in Md. going on day seven.
I am so glad I don't rely on my car to get me to work every day.
Final nail, never again, I will sell my cars before I ever send another cent to this company.
Rant off.

Sounds like the same guys who sold me the liquid filled muffler for mine followed by the dropped one.

Okay, So my speedo is pissing me off. Odometer wasn't working and speedo was reading rather slow. This low reading was a percentage difference. Then speedo gets fixed by a local company that has been working on these for over 20 years and come highly recommended. Some other internal housing was cracked as well. Get speedo back and still reading slow, replaced speed sending unit, cracked dif open to check magnets. Everything is normal. Send speedo back and they find more wrong with it. 3 weeks later, get it back today and WTF.

Following breakdown of speed. I use a gps speedometer on my smart phone that is spot on. Confirmed with radar highway speed trap displays.

GPS 25mph - car 34mph
GPS 35mph - car 41mph
GPS 45mph - car 49mph
GPS 50mph - car 53mph
GPS 55mph - car 56mph
GPS 60mph - car 60mph

It really is bad form to stand the box up in the corner of the office and find out the muffler is not house broken. Puddles like that are just simply to hard to explain.

How?

I sent it to them twice, my mechanic is getting pissed off at them now. He has been using them for years and never had problems like this. I sank enough money into this that I feel I shouldn't have to work on it and it should come back to me in good working order. Is that too much to ask? If that was the case, I would have originally done the work myself.

In the back there is a very small hole with a screw that will adjust the speed. Lanna was about five off when I got her and I absolutely detest that.
I don't remember which way speeds it up or slows it down but I do know it is a very small adjustment.

Not getting the job you paid for is something that you should not have to deal with, and they should refund the money they charged you for this adjustment

The guy on the other end of the phone didn't think it was funny when I tried to return a radiator.

So, I think I figured out what they did. The speedometer was originally reading to slow. When I would go 35 it would read 25 and the faster I went the greater that distance got (i.e. when doing 85 it would read 60 or something around there). I think they just moved the needle on me. Would make sense why it reads really high at slow speeds and gets less at higher speed because the gap is getting bigger. Hope everyone can follow that logic
