Of course I won't know until I head down to the planners office but, it seems to be a "spin of the wheel" in this county.

The top of the garage door is the soffit area for the roof.
![]() There is just not room with raising the roofline.

Just a little bit.

Oh that is a possibility. But there are a LOT of houses in the city that were built long long ago and have never been hit buy a tornado.
I don't have any close family relatives that have ever had any significant tornado damage.

I figure the cost of any change to the garage ceiling would have to include modifying the rafters. That is just not cost effective. As cool as it would be I am too cheap.
A dormer type of extension above the single bay which is where the workbench area is would still be expensive. I think a small scissors lift that tucks into the floor would be the best fit for my needs. Autoquip Scissor Lifts and Custom Material Handling Equipment These folks are just a few miles up the road from me. They will build a lift to fit me needs. I friend of mine works there.

Glen, why do you want to raise your garage roof again?
And Janet, black, occasionally with a packet of sweetener if its bad. And before you start freaking out, the reason why I know this is that we went to The Good Egg for breakfast the first time we met... With his father.
