Okay the bodies have been "taken care of"
Phew that was close

My son is turning 8 this Monday but we are having his birthday party on Sunday. Where did the time go? :( He is still my Pumpkin. He still cuddles with me. Sidney is flying in to celebrate with us. It is going to be a fun weekend. I need it. This next week is going to be a crazy one at work.

Just think, in 8 more years he will be driving!

Maybe he can talk your mom into letting you buy your dad's old 911 and get it restored. Somehow grand kids have a stronger pull on grandma to get things your mom will never let you have.

Rick V 10-11-2013 11:26 AM

I remember when my kids were that age. It was a couple of weeks ago

GH85Carrera 10-11-2013 11:28 AM

Yea, it will be Christmas in a few days.

Rick V 10-11-2013 11:29 AM

Yet another mark of time I am not looking forward to this year

tweezers74 10-11-2013 11:42 AM

Glen, that's an idea but my older son isn't so much into the cars and stuff... He's into bugs and science stuff. Now my younger one, OBSESSED. He is the future Pelican. Loves motorcycles, cars, trucks, can identify a 911 on the road. He's five. AND he's a sweet talker. If there is anybody that could talk my mom into giving it to him, it would be my Peanut. But that will be awhile...

We need to get him to start working on her when he is about 10... You know so it'll be ready for him to drive. ;)

Porsche-poor 10-11-2013 11:49 AM

I'm done with the b-day party stage maybe. Next year Connor may want to play Louie's on his birthday.

Sid, Mac question for you. Can a Mac handle dual monitors? I upgraded the quicktime to pro so I can edit the movies. really rather simple but the funny thing is if I edit and save the file from the second monitor I get a black screen and crappy audio. If I open edit and save on the laptop screen its fine. Just nuts.

RKDinOKC 10-11-2013 01:22 PM

Depends on the Mac. My mac laptop hooked up to an monitor besides the laptop screen.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2013 01:25 PM

Ok I just find it strange that it can't function off the laptop.

porsche4life 10-11-2013 01:30 PM

What model of Mac is it again David? It should work fine... Start a thread, stomachmonkey should know.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2013 01:32 PM

Sorry no Mac. Its a PC laptop but the Apple software can't handle the two screens so I was wondering if that was the case with Macs or not.

porsche4life 10-11-2013 01:35 PM

Hmmmm. I know my MacBook Pro can, but that is because it has a video card built onto the motherboard like a standard laptop, plus an extra video card that it kicks in for dual use and HD applications.

I'm not familiar with QT pro, I use iMovie for all my video work.

porsche4life 10-11-2013 01:36 PM

I would suspect that the video card/processing power is where your issue lies...

That is how Steve Jobs designed it! :D

porsche4life 10-11-2013 01:40 PM

No, the more I think about it, his issue is in the windows laptop, not QT.

Most windows laptops just don't have the cojones to handle video editing, unless you have a high end Alienware or Lenovo.

I know Dave has struggled with issues with his computers and video editing.

Porsche-poor 10-11-2013 01:44 PM

this is a dell precision that does 3D drafting just fine. It works for what I need till now anyway.

No biggie.
