It is not warm out right now but it is dry. Now wait for Thursday and hang on to your kite cause the gusts are to hit 30-40 with rain mixed in for fun.

I hate bad weather road trips, like that one Beth and I did a few years ago when we went to the U.P. of Michitgan and it snowed on us for 1,200 of the 2,400 miles, That sucked epically

Get off my lawn!

Just a typical windy day in Oklahoma. We have many days of 40 MPH winds with gusts to 50. We have a couple dozen days like that in a year.

Welp, ordered a stripped upper and a carbine length 6 position buffer assembly sans stock today.....still haven't decided on 5.56 or 300BLK, but the carbine buffer is good on both.

Well with the 300 and that short barrel you can be subsonic. The 556 will never get down that slow

And the subsonic 300 still has awesome ballistics.....much better than 5.56 out of the same length barrel

I like the 5.56. I make no bones about it being small but it is stupid fast and accurate. It will also go through bullet proof glass.

No doubt the 5.56 is an excellent mid range battle round, but I'm really going for a close quarters SHTF spoon and the 300 blackout has more muzzle energy out of a 9" barrel than most 5.56 out of a 16-18"

![]() As for the header, it was definitely from the original 1961 build! No evidence in the studs on either side showing a nailed in full header and the siding is all original and it's an original layout.. I've lived in the house since '89 and the original owner bought it new. She was my MIL's first cousin. We have pics of the back of the house from back in the day.

Hey D, whenever you're on here, check out the Palmetto State website, they're running new specials every day. Picked up the complete buffer assembly and stripped upper for $80 shipped.

We just had another bigger quake. I bet it was in the 4s maybe a 5. Just guessing they will tell us soon. I could actually feel the concrete floor move.

It will be interesting to see if it is revised. It was the strongest one we have had this year.
