You know you could be brave and do what the folks on Top Gear did. Just buy the car, drive it for the vacation and sell it. You likely would save money. It is a risky thing to do on your own but dang that is a lot of money to rent a car.

When the Top Gear guys are through with the cars they buy and drive, they couldn't give them away.

That is because they haul a dead cow on the roof and crash into each other for laughs.

Did a midnight milk run to Walmart. Usually don't go to Walmart because I don't agree with their business practices, but been getting Walmart Gift Cards to take part in a drug study. The stockers were speaking what sounded like Asian, but none of them even remotely looked Asian. Is there some sort of secret Walmart stocker language I don't know about?

Oh, and the milk is in one corner of the store and the dog food is in the complete opposite corner. Literally in the corner.

Richard, did anyone take your picture while you were there? That is why I don't go to Wal mart. I don't want my picture taken and to be on the Walmartian web site!

Good Friday morning folks.

Mornin' Glen. Busy weekend here. We've got a funeral to attend (wife's closest friend here in DC), and my wife's sister is flying in to DC to stay with us for a few days. Ballet on Saturday evening (Sleeping Beauty). I think the weather will be dreary, too. Oh well, it could be worse.

Didn't see anyone with a camera or a phone so think I am safe. Besides, wasn't wearing pajamas, clothes that would be considered women's clothing and/or way too small, or anything made of lycra, and I don't wear makeup or have any hairs on my body that might be considered a bright color that I know of.

It took 2 register people and a manager to accept my Walmart gift card that says "Walmart Gift Card" on it. And there was a button on the register to press that says Walmart Gift Card. Seems they push the button with Walmart Gift Card on it, then the screen says swipe the card, swipe the card, then the screen says scan with wand and you do that. Doesn't work if you swipe the card first no matter how many times you try, or how many people try the same thing over and over.

Morning David. Are you really awake?

Jim, we have a busy weekend planned as well. My El Camino is filthy. It is getting a bath on Sunday or Saturday if the rain does not come in as predicted.
