Grumble. Computer crashed last Monday. Paid geek squad $200. They call me Saturday and tell me I was right, it was a hard drive failure again, though the thing still spins this time. Brought them the restore disks Sunday and now it still isn't fixed. It is having problems loading service pack 2. The $200 does cover hardware and software installation but not the drive. But it is better than $1000 for a new computer and having to deal with windows 8.

While i was at best buy I did get a nice stereo system for my apartment another $150.

Today I found out that the cause of the misfire in the 911 was the mfi pump which appears will need a $2500 refresh. Might as well do the throttle bodies while the car is out of action, since they really need it. Probably another $1000-$1500 there I would guess.

That's all for now. This nexus thing is OK for checking email but the screen is tiny and the touch screen and lack of keyboard is rather irritating after a while.

I really hate emails with this in the subject line;

'Your XXXX Broadband service has been slowed to 64kbps'

Hang on a minute?

Your supposed to be blessed with 'the knack', yes?

What the hell are you paying someone else that thinks they have 'the knack' to do something that your knack can do already?

Andy, congrats on the new puppy.

The breeder that we bought our current two dachshunds from was in town on Sunday. She lives in Tulsa and was in town to pick up two puppies from a litter that she owned the father. They were 13 weeks old and little things. Our dogs thought they were getting new playmates. They were really cute but I am glad we don't have new puppies. Two dogs is enough. They are best friends and keep each other entertained and happy while we are at work.

Good Hump day morning folks.

Wow, I have never heard of a UPS snow day. Around here they run in the worst weather. Most of the drivers like a cooler weather way more than the hot weather.
