I think I am going to create a new illness, I call it seasonal violence. It is kind of like seasonal depression but instead of getting depressed ya get violent. I have found myself actually looking for a fight, cut me off in traffic, bump me with a shopping cart or even just give me a dirty look and I am ready to swing.
I need to be outside, I need sunshine, and winter takes it away from me, and I am getting worse as I get older. It never bothered me so much when I was younger because the cold really never chased me inside. I would go skiing, snowball fights or just walk at night in the total muted quiet that snow creates. I can't do those things anymore because cold is painful, and it is really starting to show. I stuff my head into my earbuds all day long at work so I don't have to listen to the crap there, that saves my job. Beth actually told me tonight to get a job in Tucson and move out and she would follow me when we sell here. I think I married a good one, and I am also not leaving without her. She is the main reason I haven't rearranged someones dental work. Okay I am done, BTW I hate mondays

I can completely sympathize with you, Rick. I don't get upset over much, but I can't stop thinking of being out west. Thoughout the day, every day. It doesn't help that our house is undergoing renovation even while we're here in the east. I was looking forward to going west for a short work-cation starting in mid-Feb. We cancelled that trip since both of our bathrooms would still be unfinished. Now we have to wait until our May trip to get our next SoCal fix. Thankfully, we'll fit 5 trips between May and December. Retirement is sometime after summer of next year. How long after is TBD, depending on when we feel comfortable about being fixed-income weenies. I hope it's sooner rather than later. The fewer winters/summers here the better.

I honestly hope this is my last winter here. I doubt I will be able to hold it together for another one. This is my last one, it has to be. I really don't like feeling like this and I am sure noone around me does either.

Ever work all day and still have the same amount of crap on your desk as when you started? I need vacation or a fire sale.

Every day here David... I started with a pipeline of projects that is 40 pages long and goes back at least 3 years. I've gotten through two pages since November. Why? Because I get phone calls about new business and the directive is to chase those because they are hotter leads than the crap that's been inactive for 3 years...

Oh great...Sister is visiting and brother whom lives 2 houses away's wife is out of town. That means they have defended on Mom and I since Thursday Night. They attacked our Kitchen to do what they called deep cleaning.
First there WAS a plate rack of collectible plates and bookend style figurines of chickens. Siblings thought they were a bunch of 50 cent garage sale items. Looked up a few on the internets and the cheapest was worth $20. The chicken figurines are $25 each and one platter that has been on Mom's plate rack longer than anyone can remember is an antique black forest carving worth $60. About $700 worth of plates and chickens. oSister wants to box em up and get rid of them since Mom doesn't remember where they came from any more and decorate the plate rack with something more fashionably in style. They also want me to replace the range and vent hood AND redo the floors. In fact, brother came in this evening with a new microwave vent hood and installed it. He may have ordered a range too. Think they are planning to take me floor shopping. Guess if I were married all this kind of stuff would have been redone years ago huh. Mom is totally freaking out. She like the new ideas when they ask her about it, but doesn't remember a few minutes later and wants to know what they are doing.

![]() Been researching getting seats for the kiddos in the back of the bug. Looks like the best bet is to put lap belts in and then get them seats with harnesses. |

It was cool enough this arvo to sit in the cabin of the 944, so we got a little 'me' time driving around town.
I had to share her with the pooch as he insisted on coming along for the ride. ![]() I really must get something done about that dodgy aircon. |
