(Expletive deleted, cuss word, profanity, and crap.) Insert George Carlin's 7 words that can't be said on radio or TV or Pelican.

My monitor at home died. It is just a few years old. It does not get that much use. It will not light up. It just acts like it is not attached to a computer. The computer sees it and makes the connection noise when I turn it on.

I guess I need a new 27 or 30 inch monitor.

Any suggestions on a good solid brand? The one that died is a ViewSonic. I may avoid that brand as a protest to this on crapping out so early. It is only 2 years old.

What model number? I see the top pro models from 3M and NEC are over 2 grand. I ain't gonna be doing that. I figure $250 to $350 should be enough.

LED display I currently have on my laptop is bout 5 years old. 27"in is specifically for laptop so has speakers, camera, usb ports, and connector to supply power to laptop. Desk is in a dark area so brightness is on only about half. Maybe that will make it last longer.

The way my eyes are getting I think I might be better off with a bigger monitor that has LESS dots to make everything BIGGER,

You are doing it wrong!

Just use a big wet blade concrete saw and it has nothing to do with sucking balls. It is noisy and messy for sure.

Yup, cutting it dry with a 9" blade on a grinder is definitely doing it the the hard way.

I like a challenge

I think I'll go play with my jack hammer, hopefully the dust has settled and I can see what I'm doing now.

Good Hump day morning folks.

I guess I will be scouring the internet for a good monitor. I have a space 28.5 x 22 on my desk I want to fill up with a decent long lasting good quality display. Any suggestions will be considered.

Like all consumers I want the looks and performance of the high end NEC monitors for $350 max. Of course I want a 918 and a 911 Turbo S as well.
