Good Hump day morning folks.

It's the pits!
Um, I mean I gotta pit,
Um, I mean there is a concrete lined purdy pit in my garage. I promise Mrs. Carrera is still around. She did not "go to see her relatives," she is NOT missing





Now I need to figure out just how do I lower 1/2 a ton down into the pit. Can I talk a few of you strong guys to swing by tomorrow?

I am just REAL glad I did not try to do it myself.

I can do a lot of things but I have never done any concrete work that involved more than a 1/2 a bag of Quick-creete.

It was interesting to see how they formed it up and how much hard work it was. Four professionals working in a smooth and constant method. Just like working with 3 phase electricity, I let the pros do it.

One funny tidbit.

The guy I first talked to about the pit is a PCA member and I knew he was a contractor. I asked if he knew someone that could do the job. He came over with a guy and I pointed and grunted and explained just what I wanted.

Throughout the process I talked to the PCA friend. As everything was finishing up the last worker was leaving I grabbed a hose to start washing down the concrete dust and dirt from the parking lot area in front of the garage. Right them the MIC (Mexican In Charge) of the workers rolled up in his truck. He hopped out and grabbed a broom and scrubbed as I hosed. I was thinking this is cool, he is making sure everything is cleaned up before he goes home. I wanted a beer so I asked him if he wanted one and of course he did so we chatted and drank a beer. As he was about done I was thinking I wish he would leave so I can go clean myself up.

Then he said "so can I get a check now?"

The check went to him not the friend in the club. I have no idea what their arraignment is. It is done and I am happy.
