Sidney, sorry to hear the diagnosis of breast cancer for you Mum. I have a friend going through chemo atm, she is on about her 5th round of chemo, three to go, we have all been wearing pink today to show solidarity, as it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I am quite surprised that I have known at least 10 women in the last 15 years who have had breast cancer. It is so prevalent these days.

Sending good vibes for you and your mom. If it makes her feel any better, my mom is a cancer survivor.

Morning everyone.

So a rodent must have crawled up into my heat exchanger and started building a little nest. I was driving down the road and had smoke poring out of my passenger vent. Small fire, but looks like I will be taking everything apart and cleaning it out. Maybe this is my chance to back date the heat and get the new flapper boxes I have been wanting to get.

You just need to drive it more often!

Good morning everyone.

Sid, sorry to hear about your mom. I would have said something last night but I only started my reply and had to get back to the real world.

I went to the opthamologist this morning. He said I have the vision everyone wants to have especially for someone at my age. He did not even bother to change the prescription of my glasses. With glasses I could read the bottom line of every chart with ease.

The worst part is they dilate my eyes. Long ago I figured out to bring my sunglasses inside with me. Dang everything is bright. I just has the same slight astigmatism that I have had for 25 years.

Actually seen a 911 that the owner had brought to the shop because it was down on power and smelled funny. It was funny all right. Pack Rats had filled the engine compartment with dry dog food. The rodents were very thorough, not only could you not fit another kibble under the bonnet, the intake was stuffed full all the way to the air cleaner.

Anyone looking for a radar detector? Just realized I haven't used mine this year and have managed to not get a single ticket. It's an 8500x50 with the smartcord thingy and the super cup mount. $100 TTD for you guys or it goes on ebay tonight.

Not me. I have a V1 that I use only on long road trips in the 911. No tickets this millennium, or even in the 1990s.

I only use my radar detector for out-of-town trips, which has been over a year.

With all the traffic in recent times you are more likely to get reported by a cell phone road nazi than caught on radar.

Joe, I haven't used one in years.

Sid, congrats on the career change. We will keep your family in our prayers (if that's OK).

I had an interview on Tuesday and they called back this morning to schedule a phone interview for Monday night at 7:00. I thought that was a bit odd. I am not sure what the position is though, and neither were they on Tuesday. It would be a good move financially and would have room to go up in the company, but where I am at now is pretty stable even if the money isn't that good compared to my position in other industries.
