Regarding dislocations: About 5 years ago I fell off my pickup truck while loading a bike and dislocated my collar bone, or a bone related to the collar bone. I have a large bump sticking up and limited range of motion in that arm. You guys think I should have someone stick it back in or just leave it alone?

Saw a girl ski patrol was bringing off the slopes that had gone head on with a lift pole. Her right arm was sticking out just above her waist. Think that must have been EXTREME dislocation.

Oh well. We'll be out there probably 5 times next year. We've already booked flights for February, April, and July. I imagine we'll also head out there in September and either November or December. If we can ever line up our schedules, I'd love to get together. Maybe even do some sailing.

I once had a 1978 Ramcharger and going through the south side of Chicago at 70mph the front drive shaft u-joint let loose at the axle. Boy does that wake you up in a hurry. We had to borrow some tools to remove it from the transfer case side (I know, but young and naive not having tools with me) and a half mile down the road we ran over a u bolt from a large truck leaf spring. We left there and trying to get to a gas station the float stick on the crappy carb. We did get to ride in the service station guy's El Camino with a built 454 in it.
That truck had been sunk up to the running boards in mud, airborne high enough that the CB came out of the dash when we landed and the passenger was stuck because of the locking lap belt had retracted way in on impact. We knocked the inside of the drivers side disk off on a rock when rock crawling. Got stuck in a valley and had to go over some young trees to get out which removed some equipment from underneath. I didn't expect much from a cheap as dirt truck, but it handled our abuse pretty well. To extract it from the mud we had my uncles truck tied to a tree and block and tackled his 8000# winch and it still had a hard time pulling it out. The drive shaft on the Cobra replica is 8.5" from yoke to yoke. I don't think I will twist that one. Joe, I thought I had dislocated my thumb when playing fast pitch softball. Slid into 2nd base and heard it pop. I called time and the coach came over and said it was broken and set it while I was still standing on 2nd base. I had to get a base runner and went to the hospital after the game. The doctor said coach did a good job and just put a cast on it from there. Still has a funny bump and is a little crooked. It's definitely not broken. The pain only flares up after significant use....and it's tendon/ligament pain.
