Okay, so I took a piss. Now what?

Left my porch light off so I can eat all the candy myself!

We went to Thuy's sisters hood so the boys could be with their cousins. Left a big bowl of candy out, all gone when we got home.

Someone in our hood is having a party and keeps blowing a train horn. They've got 30mins before I call the PD. I don't mind having a party, but blowing a train horn every 5 mins is just obnoxious.

Sounds like time to set the speakers out side and start playing Black Sabbath on level eleven.

Morning Y'all.
We didn't have as many urchins as we expected last night but we did have a decent turnout and ALL of the kids were behaved, no smarta55es, or greedy pushy brats.
I got to scare a few but I have to admit, the adults do scream much better then the kids do

We turned off the lights. No little monsters to yell at to get off my lawn.

Steve is away, so I didn't feel like sitting on the Porch by myself, so I left a bowl of candy outside and turned on the light. The Midget went over to a friends for a party, so it was a quiet night here. Boring eh?

Autumn is here today, winds rain, generally effing cold. So it will be a quiet day.

Cold, windy, trying to think about raining and I can now feel every single broken bone and joint injury I have ever had, and trust me that is a long list

I had to do a few errands so while I was at it I decided to hit every spoon store in town just to kick some tires (I refuse to window shop) and one of them actually had my next one in stock, it was killer to fondle it and if I wasn't saving for my trip out west it would be home right now. Awesome sale price, like a grand off

Only if...I had found a sitter for Mom.

Friend in Austin sold the 3 day pass he had gotten for me. Texted pic of himself just before qualifying started. He was on a segway shaking hands with Mario. Mario was his childhood hero.

That's a bummer, Richard. It's sometimes hard being a good son. Hang in there.

Couldn't find a Mom sitter for this weekend, but did find one for next weekend. So, I will be able go to the 928 gathering in Marble Falls TX. It's gonna be expensive. The sitter costs $300 a day. Won't be able to take the 928, steering rack is still splooging all over the floor if I put any juice in it and just don't have the budget to fix it and pay the caregiver too. It's a fun group and I'm sure the Cayenne will be plenty of fun to drive lowered and sport mode on the twisty roads. Just hope I won't have trouble keeping up the the 928s.

Richard, who cares if you can't keep up with the 928s, just enjoy yourself, make sure you get the place of destination befor a drive, so even if you are running last you will still find them.

They are a very efficient tour group. They run 3 groups, everyone uses radios, and there is a leader, middle man, and clean up driver for each group. And they do provide maps. They also place people within the group based on their past driving, slower towards the front. And do not allow passing within the group. They use the radios to relay info to the drivers behind about road hazards, traffic, and corner speeds. When you hear a report, you repeat it for the cars behind. Great job for a passenger! Each of the three groups the leader goes at a different pace. The first group drives very fast. The second group the leader goes the speed limit. and the 3rd the leader going well UNDER the speed limit and staying in contact with the clean up driver so the last cars in the group do not have to speed to keep up. Each group ends up going the pace of the slowest driver in the group.

I just hate when someone gets in a tour group that just refuses to go over the speed limit and causes a huge gap in the group lagging behind. Even if the leader goes the speed limit, because of stop signes, whiplash effect, the farther back in the group the faster you have to go to catch up. I also hate the fast drivers pass everyone and get right behind the leader, then complain the group doesn't go fast enough. You tell them and tell them, but it just doesn't seem to sink in. The fastest drivers are right behind the leader going the speed limit and the slower drivers are lagging miles behind the group. This 928 group does a great job of preventing this.

On a local PCA tour I did clean up and traveled well over 140 to pick up stragglers and catch back up with the group. It was kinda funny... I blew passed a group of 4 motorcycles doing triple digits 3 times. After the event I stopped at a gas station before heading home and heard a chick yelling "Hey Richard" It was one of those 4 bikers. Turned out she was the service advisor at the local Porsche shop. She told me she never ever wants to hear me say "I was just crusing along and..."
