golf a perfectly good way to ruin a walk in the woods.

I don't miss spring in OK, not even a little bit. I'll take hot over flying cows and hail the size of baseballs any day!
|
Golf is great. Only time is acceptable to get drunk and cruise around in a golf cart, and sometimes you even get paid for doing it! I loved golfing with my clients!

Doesn't look too green. The bad weather is green.

Stijn!!
Well once again poor ol Moore is getting hit with a twister. Not a killer bad one, but some damage for sure. It is big enough to do some damage. Probably a f2 or f3.
|
They have some amazing live video live on TV. It is from the helicopter and just wild.
No commercials, just non stop coverage tracking each storm. The poor folks in Moore. Dang. |
The blue dot is our house. And no my house is not a big blue dot. You can see the city of Moore. We have only had . 04 inch so far of rain. Moore gets a couple of tornadoes.

Friend in Moore lost electricity and trees in front yard as far as they can tell so far.

Morning Y'all
Isn't it a tad early for the twisters? |
Morning, Rick. It's probably the normal time for them in the southern plains states.

Morning gentlemen,
'twas a hot morning on the golf course today. I then picked up the Tojo from the dealer after getting it's 220,000km service (it was ready yesterday arvo but we went wine tasting in the Swan Valley and I'd had a tipple too many to drive). Then I gave another BIL a hand to tow his soon to be SIL's s h i t-box Mitsubishi that broke down two nights ago. Then I drove to the other side of the city to pick up my lad (BTW, I hate city driving) so we can all go out to dinner with my sisters family. Next came a nana nap. This retirement business is getting to be a bit busy. Latter, I'll need to run the young fella back home. I think tomorrow's agenda will be sitting on my sisters front porch with a beer, yelling at people who go past. :D |

The weather forecast from the weekend said Wednesday afternoon was prime for severe weather. Tuesday they narrowed it down to just after 4:30 when the storms would hit. At 4:45 that fired up as if on cue and did the storming thing. We got almost 1/4 inch of rain and some minor wind. Lots of morons out driving around looking for a storm or not smart enough to get off the road. We had several DAYS of warnings. I always feel sorry for the people just passing through or that are from out of town that can't afford a smart phone. My iPhone was telling me about the storms, i can watch the radar and know where I am and where the storms are and were the storms are going. People just to stupid to use a smart phone or people that are technology adverse are just ignorant. I have a tough time feeling sorry for someone that refuses to try to learn. I do feel sorry for those that can't afford the cost of a smart phone and the data plan with it. I have been in other states and my iPhone kept informed about potential weather threats in the area near me. I will never be without a smart phone again. Good Thursday morning folks. |
Good Morning.
