What was wrong with you...cold, flu, sinus infection, ebola? It's good that you're feeling better today.

Glad you feel better.

A worker dropped a brake rotor on his foot last night so the wife has been at the ER with him all night. She should be home this morning instead of working her normal day shift. She should be in a great mood!

I'm going to the FIL's to work on the Camaro again today. We may be able to fire it up today if I can figure out the wiring mess to make the 4bbl Quadrajunk work in place of the 2bbl. NOTHING is the same.

I did find the exhaust leak yesterday>>the nuts for the PS pipe to head were not there. duh

Did I mention the car has been cobbled up?

Thank goodness he has a lift in the barn.

Have a good day gents!

I would love to work on a Camaro than be in the office, sitting behind a desk, pushing paper, wearing a tie, attending meetings. You get the picture.

Oh, I understand Jim. I do not miss the corporate BS of a job. I do miss having that steady paycheck, though.

Yuck, the horrors!

Meetings & AND a tie. My sympathies, it must be horrible. Just remember, that is what is paying for the California dreaming.

I am having fun with Windows Update. We still have 9 Windows XP computers working fine doing their tasks. Today is the day they all get the new software updates from Microsoft. I guess that stops forever in July. It will be just the few Win 7 machines getting updated after that. We still have two computers running Windows 2000.

I'm back at work today but still feeling weak. I think we can rule out ebola, but probably a mix of the other three options.

Glen, as long as you aren't using those XP computers for internet access you will be relatively good for a while.

I would not take a job that requires a tie. Actually, I should state I would not take a job that requires a tie unless there is another zero added to my salary just left of the decimal point.

So far after the rest of the family being sick (dizzy, throwing up, fever) I have not gotten it so I imagine it will happen this weekend.

All of the computers have access to the internet so they can get updates and be seen on our local network. They all have current up to date Anti-Virus programs. Most of them are not used for surfing the web but the computer I am using is and does all the time.

I have two computers at my desk. They are on a digital KVMP switch so a button push switches back and forth between the systems. Real work is done on the Win 7 machine.

This Windows XP machine is for my email, surfing, Pandora and the easier work tasks.

In that case don't use IE as you won't be getting any security updates and keep your 3rd party browser up to date. I knew they had access to the internet because you were getting the updates but I didn't know you were using them to browse the internet.

Teaches them to plan ahead as well.

Anything that goes against the grain, requires extra thinking, poblem solving and resourcefulness is great character building.

Yea, IE is dead. I gave up on it when it just got too slow. I use Firefox and Adblock Edge. I love that combo. No ads at all.

So you stopped using it back in the late 90s?

+1 on that SauCy. There are many kids that have everything handed to them and melt down when they are on their own and something goes awry. Or join the Navy because they are tired of people telling them what to do. (Long story that one).

Oh boy, brother went to UFO convention this past weekend. Means I will be getting texts all week informing me of all the new conspiracy info.

Topics include, bigfoot, an ET skull, government cover up of ETs living on earth and coming/going all the time, super secret USAF space fleet, and ET influence on our civilization and religion.

Oh yeah, did I mention, his texts and emails are always ALL CAPS.

If he has to yell all the time, maybe you need a hearing aide.

I know people like that. Some make the stranges sci-fi movies look like a documentary. Oh wait, maybe they are. The beginning of "American Warships" stated that the DoD doesn't want you to know the story being told. Or something similar. Maybe it stated that it didn't happen which makes the theorist think it did happen and it is all false flag/red herring...
