Got over arguing with teachers in 1st grade. Didn't like reading the stuff they had us reading because I thought it was stupid. They tried to tell my parents I couldn't read even though I aced the vocabulary and spelling tests. They even had the special ed teacher evaluate my learning. They decided I was reading to get information and did not like reading anything that wasn't something new to learn and did not like fiction at all. Most fiction is just stories of people getting into trouble then being rescued somehow. Didn't like TV shows like Lassie for the same reason. I specifically remember them having me read the book Where the Red Fern Grows. I liked it up till the end, then absolutely hated it. The dogs died, it was as bad as Old Yeller. It was a LONG time until I discovered science fiction and read anything besides comic books for entertainment instead of fact gathering. Learned as far as teachers were concerned to just regurgitate what they wanted to hear, not make waves, and stay out of trouble.

It's 90-100 hours of training over 7 days.....so, 14hrs per day. From what I've heard, it's a solid mix of classroom and practical.

At least it isn't heavily skewed to classroom and keeps you busy when staying out of town.

Good day, bad day.

Good-got my John Deere fixed up and working great.

Bad--my son's hamster died. Last night he brought it to me and said "something is wrong with him". The poor thing was dragging it's hind legs. It looked to me like it had broken them. Son told me he was playing with him and he fell. I don't what exactly happened but it will be a tough lesson for the boy. I looked online and rest seemed to be the medication for a broken hamster leg and it should heal in a couple of weeks. Guess not.....

Now, I have to tell him the bad news after school.

Let me know how the euromeisters turn out if you go down that route.... I'd like a set of those if I can get them in the right size.

At the moment (subject to change without further notice) I am leaning toward the 17s Euromiseters 7s&9s with the 225 front 255 rears. The Rotas are almost double the cost and from the posts I read not any different in quality.

I figure I will get the wheels in and take them right to my wheel guy to check them on his machine for balance and roundness. If they are deemed OK I will take them to get painted Grand Prix white like my old Fuchs. Get the tires mounted and get rolling.

Don't know why you would have them checked to make sure they are straight and round...sobbing sadly.

Just the centers get the white, not the rims.

They can do just the centers with powder. Hit up Chris with the GTO of he still comes to autocross. He did some wild stuff in powder on his wheels.

The powder coat guy I used in the past said the powder coat paint tends to chip when the tape is removed. I suspect there is a way to do it but he did not want to mess with it.

Vortex makes solid stuff and really stands behind their warranty. The Sparc is a good little RDS...some of their higher end glass is just phenomenal for the price.

I guess Jacob needs to get his AR early so I can play with it first and try the toys you all have out.

Hey, it took him less than a year to save $100 for his bomber and he will turn 6 next month. I should be able to break it in for him before he can shoulder it properly. maybe I will give him an interest free loan.
