OMFG!!!!!
I bought a new pad for use at work and I didn't need anything with cell on it just a small wifi pad. I bought a windows unit and what a crock of apple crap. It will ONLY allow bing as a search engine, it calls google an attack site and the only reason it hasn't been smashed into a million pieces is because I am going to get my money back.
What ever happened to I BOUGHT IT AND WANT TO USE THIS ON IT?

I've got a second gen iPad I've been using for years. No problems using any search engine and the battery lasts for friggin ever (I can stream ~10 hours on Netflix/Hulu on a single charge)
They're available fairly cheap these days.

I just hate that the manufacturers know better what I want than I do, how did I live all these years by making decisions for myself?

It was a fun autocross and perfect weather. I got home and washed the 911. The big lace bark Elm still has all the leaves so good shade to wash the car in the shade.

Maybe it was the wine drinking at 10am that made them look funny

At yesterday's autocross one of the guys that showed up drove down from Tulsa in in 2015 911 Turbo. As he pulled up several people walked up to admire his car. It is a nice toy. The coolest part is he made noticed my 30 year old 911 and started asking questions. He said he just loves the old body style and the way they look. I offered an even swap for the cars but he declined that offer.

At the end of the day as we were packing up he said "You guys treat me like family, the guys in Tulsa seem stand-offish and have their own little clique" and he LOVES our track. It is an amazing facility.

Damn good guess.

I'm on the island of Ibiza for the winter months.

Felt like a change of scenery for a while....

I'm retired now. Which is nice. Boring, but nice.

The tour Saturday was a bunch of twisty turny roads in the hill country. Stopped at 10am at a winery and did some tasting. Don't know if it were the wine, but the route seemed even curvier from there to lunch at 12. It was drizzling and raining off an on until after lunch. Drove a bunch more curvy roads and ended up at a Vodka distillery at 3.

After the vodka tasting the sun came out and the group kinda split up. There were several places people were headed, more wineries, a castle, more twisty roads. I decided to head back to the hotel. Put in the cayenne's GPS, then took the wrong turn out of the distillery. Instead of telling me to make a U-turn the GPS immediately gives me different directions. Decided to just see where it took me. Ended up taking little back roads all the way to the hotel. Went thru 4 low water bridges with a foot of water, fun in the Cayenne. It was like the Cayenne had decided it needed to have fun on it's own route back to the hotel.

It were a fun weekend of hanging out with 80 928 owners.

Low water bridges is not fut in a 928 I suspect but a pepper wagon that can raise the ride height up to max is a better choice. Glad ya had a good time.

Sounds like you are having a darn good vacation Richard.

Today I helped with picture retakes at our elementary school. They also asked if I could be a playground monitor at lunch which I did. I must say, I patrolled the grounds like a hawk, making sure the kids were NOT having any fun. Oh wait, that was the monitors when I was in school.

Unfortunately, I noticed kids that are obviously not having a good time in life. One husky young fella came over to me and asked if I would play with him. I advised that I was there to work but suggested that he seek out kids his age.

He told me "nobody likes me and I don't have any friends". Sad that he feels that way.

something being that some moron let all the tension off and the blade skipped the pulley.
cracked it open, shop-vac'd it out, set the blade back on and tensioned and it works beautifully now.

We found a similar deal. We were looking for an upright freezer and found one at a garage sale. They were asking $35 but sold it for $25 since the door didn't work right. Got it home and put the door on right side up and it has been fine since.

The wheels will need new tires soon. They have cork on there. It's not cracked or anything, just worn. There's a supplier for polyurethane tires though.

The little bugger works nicely.
