Sounds like you are set then.

All this talk is making me hungry. I might have to grab an early lunch.

We are going to my little sister's place for the meal. Leaving my daughter there until Sunday. It's going to be quiet around here.

I don't mind it, just tedious work, and paying someone to paint our house would probably be 3k+. I'm just doing bits and pieces as I have time. Correcting crummy drywall patches, etc. I'll get it all done eventually!

I had a customer in Houston that took the day before thanksgiving to Fry turkeys for employees. We happened by their shop one year on that day and they had like 15 fryers lined up and had an assembly line going! They pulled one out, tossed it on a cutting board on the tailgate of the truck and carved it up for us! Damn fine bird! They sent my boss home with one, and offered me one too, but I was moving the next day so had no room for it!

I love a good smoked Ham. I was going to smoke a ham this year too, but Thuy bought two turkeys, so I'll smoke one of them. Its going in a brine now to sit for about 24 hours before going in the smoker.

Going to Nephews to each a very traditional oven roasted turkey dinner with all the fixins and two kinds of stuffing. He alway fixes a little tofurky for his day the vegitarian. Looking forward to the plane crash pie!

Asked if my brother in Tulsa could join us and they didn't mind. So he is coming and is going to stay with me. I am sure he will be tired of Pepper bothering him by Friday evening and go home. The bad part is since I invited hime, I have to give him gas money to make the trip.

That horrible W*** thing?

Jeff, there was a story in the paper about a local company that makes custom circuit boards for companies that have a design but don't want to build the board.

Thru-Hole Assembly Printed Circuit Boards

One of those many businesses no one hears much about. It was interesting that companies design and engineer the board but have SMD make the board.

I've been very happy with it. My dad has one of those too and a Smokin Tex electric smoker that he's loved for about 10 years now. Smoking meat is serious biz at his house!

And looks like the OK guys may get some weather. Dad just texted me that he had all 7 generators running and ready to go. If bad weather hits I suspect he'll sell a few. He stockpiles good deals from Craigslist until the weather hits! . So glen if your power goes out... I'm sure he'd rent you one for a few days.

My last company had all the circuit board equipment. Crazy cool stuff to watch and see how quickly we could take a bare circuit board and turn it into a working led module or control board.

In the 70s my brother ran a subsidiary medical company. His father-in-law (the founder of Kimray) worked with research doctors and the local university hospital. He developed and sold a heart lung machine for open heart surgery, a kidney dialysis machine water bath, and the Vena Cava blood clot filter. My brother designed and we made a cardiac output computer. You injected a solution of a specific temperature into the heart and the computer would determine the volume of blood the heart was pumping from the time it took for the blood to return to the original temperature.

When in HS I worked there part time and was involved in all the building and testing processes including etching, drilling, and stuffing circuit boards for the computer. I remember getting some plans and every one in the company making and building our own Pong games for fun. This was before you could even buy the first Pong game. Building it, then typing in and calibrating the software and hardware was a lot more fun and challenging than actually playing it.

Brother also had one of the first AppleII computers. I remember upgrading it to a whopping 16K and what a hassle it was to load and save programs to audio cassettes. And how great it was to get 5-1/4 inch floppy drives for it. My brother later used it to run the company using the first spread sheet program called VisiCalc.
