Morning Y'all
Jeff I am disappointed |
I'd forgotten how freaking hot it is up here this time of the year :(
I can't believe I used to live here 20 years ago. |
Warm would be very welcome right now.
|
There's always tomorrow, besides I'll have all day to get used to breathing water.
|
Careful being a water breather. Try to remember they lay eggs and then fertilize them.

Good morning all.
The head of the committee to get in Glen's way is getting fired today. I know a replacement has been hired so it will never let up, but this morning the committee failed and it was wonderful. Not one car in my way all the way to work. It was wonderful. I was 3 minutes faster getting to work. Normally it takes 12 minutes. Not today. :D I need to call my insurance agent. We had some tree impact on the roof and gutter. I don't think it is $1,000 worth so I likely won't need to file a claim. I just want a professional to climb up on the roof and check it out. I don't wanna do it. |

That sucks. |
If it's anything like yesterday...they have all strategically placed themselves to get out in front of me today.
|
morning all. Back to rain here no ice or white crap at this time.
|
According to my phone it is sunny outside and supposed to get up into the mid 50s. I can go open the back door and see for myself but that is clear across the building.
My workstation computer is sucking mud. I am working with a stupid big file. 17.8 Gig Tiff files just choke the poor thing. To change the view takes several minutes. I can't wait for the client to get the file they ordered. One big ol mosaic that is very high resolution. They will likely try to look at it in Paint and for some reason that will not work. Our version of Photoshop will not even think about opening it. But the customer is always right & we will produce what they asked for. Then we will make them some files they can actually use. |
Richard, wear good boots if there is any roofing stuff going on.
Glen the only time we had school canceled for the day due to electricity is because they keep the buses plugged in and they wouldn't start. NO buses, NO school. Jeff, are you at a Motel 5 or something? |
When I was in high school in Alabama they closed the schools on the forecast of some snow. It did not snow at all but we got a day off. :)
Now here locally they close school because the air conditioners are not working. I never ever once went to a school that even HAD air conditioning at all. In Hawaii the halls were open walkways with a cover but no walls. The classrooms were like barracks, and there was no heat or air conditioning. People always laugh about no heat in Hawaii but we had one day when the low was 58. That does not sound bad until you realize every single place is 58 degrees and sitting around in 58 degree rooms is cold. The locals were dressed like it was below zero. Our car was from the mainland so it had a heater and we rode around for a few hours to warm up. We did not have any blankets. They were in storage. |
Forget steel toed boots, I want steel soled boots.
On a side note... Because of the blood vessel damage in my legs that MRSA infection did I have to wear knee high compression socks. Not the real tight diabetic kind, just the sports kind. Anyway wearing knee high socks I've noticed my shorts comfort temperature limit has lowered quite a bit. |
Well, there really is a blue sky and that bright warm thing in the sky. I did remember it right. Sure glad it is back.
|
Don't stare at it. They say you will go blind but I think what happens is it goes and hides and the cold creeps in.
