I am from the IT department and I am here to help you!

"We are sorry for your inconvenience"

Now the chief guest will say a "few" words....

I'm on my way. Will reach there in 5 minutes.

Your call is important to us.

Seems like a silly issue to have with a high end vehicle. Is it a common problem with the Xenon lights?

RKDinOKC 01-16-2017 03:01 PM

Don't thinks so. This Turbo is eating my lunch with weird little freakin problems.

Like the wrong brake rotors being installed. And a bad brake booster because of it.

Someone trying to get to the battery by pulling the driver's seat instead of opening the battery hatch that moves the seat out of the way.
They ended up breaking the seat back and missing half the trim around the seat rails putting it back together wrong.

All the tools from the tool kit that were used to fix things GONE.

Having to replace all the interior and some exterior bulbs that were replaced with cheap LED that didn't work reliably.
And two of the light fixtures because they screwed them up trying to solder in resistors for the LEDs.

The HVAC control on the dash where you slide open a part to change the rear settings, the 4 rear buttons have fallen off. It's freaking $800.
I can set all the settings from the rear, but it's just weird that those buttons on the front would be broken.

The headliner is drooping in the rear and so far the cheapest quote I've gotten is $600.

Getting really close to leaving page 1. How could we as a group allow this to happen?

RKDinOKC 01-17-2017 05:18 AM

Morning here.

Good Morning Groupies.

GH85Carrera 01-17-2017 05:35 AM

Good no longer Monday day!

Well it looks like it may be the last week in March before the Macan arrives. I almost feel like I am cheating on Pelican since I have spent time on the Macan forum. They have a long thread on how do you pronounce Macan. I did find out a Macan is an Tiger in Indonesia. Of course that thread got into how to pronounce Porsche and e all know the proper pronunciation or Porsche. In Indonesian the "ch" is pronounced like they have a lisp. I think I will stick with Macan that rymes with Pecan, and not pee-can. a pa-can. Overall I think it is a stupid name for a car. Just stick a number on it like a proper Porsche.

morning all. Looks like flu season is in full swing at my office. I think will Lysol and napalm the area today.

GH85Carrera 01-17-2017 07:27 AM

I guess they are all on the no vaccine bandwagon?

Vaccines eliminated Smallpox from the freaking planet, made polio a thing of the past in this country. The list goes on. Flu vaccine is far from perfect but it does work most years.

well its a collection of guys and sometimes gals who converse daily about random things that come to mind. Some have said its like the Jerry Seinfeld of Pelican.

GH85Carrera 01-17-2017 07:35 AM

Go back to page one and start reading. ;)

The first few pages tell a lot of the story. Jump to any page and see random bits of different BS.

One of our previous packages we were told it didn't matter what OS we used but we had to use IE 11. Idiots.

GH85Carrera 01-17-2017 07:40 AM

We are on a contract with an HIVAC company to do the maintenance on our heat and air system. They come out in the slow times and check the system and that puts us as a priority customer if we have a failure in the system. The guy came out today to check the heater for proper operation.

I have to assume he is old enough to drive. He looks like he is here for the skateboard competition but his skateboard was stolen this morning. The company sends a different guy every time.

RKDinOKC 01-17-2017 07:41 AM

The conversation is random, but more oft than not it usually is just the exchange of Good Morning and statements of the condition of the weather. With an exception being nipple lube.

You will find early in the thread that it is required to read the whole thing and post a picture of ones self. I did not set the rules, I am a late comer.

Yea, a FNG. :p Only been around a couple of years.

RKDinOKC 01-17-2017 07:46 AM

Office 365 no longer supports IE. Some sort of Java issue. Getting where Chrome is more compatible with 365 than any out of the box browsers.

My HVAC is just one guy. Because of my brother with MS he gave us top priority with regards to summer and keeping the A/C going. Otherwise he has always been prompt and saved me bucks.

flipper35 01-17-2017 07:49 AM

Our lab software is a Java applet and isn't supported by Chrome. Our Clinicals software doesn't like Firefox and nothing runs well in IE.

Been testing Vivaldi and like it other than a couple little issues. Still pretty fresh in development so I have high hopes for it.

flipper35 01-17-2017 07:53 AM

I read it all before my first post. :)

Most of it is still pretty fresh compared you to old timers here.
