|
Congrats to Connor!
|
Congrats and good luck, Connor!
Nice gentle 3'-4' rolling waves out there. We only stayed out for two hours. Another hour and we could've joined Ginger and MaryAnn. Have a great weekend, guys! |
Yeah he came home last week and said he needed a suit to wear. Mom asked what for, he said for the Emmy's. We thought he was kidding.

Cool. We all know it was your skills as a roadie! |
Hey...had to post something. Stijn almost went off the first page!
Hope everyone is having a good retirement, even if it is only for 2 days for most of us. |
Good save Richard!
Got a call this am that my Mom is in the hospital with congestive heart failure again. My BIL has been in for the past 10 days but getting out today. Daughter and I are off to see Mom in a little bit. Dropping her fiends off at their homes on the way. Later on fellas! |
Best wishes for your Mom and BIL, Wayne. SmileWavy
My oldest brother recently had a stroke and is having trouble moving one of his arms. I just heard about it this morning. My youngest brother lives near him, and will let me know more soon. I lost my older brother to an aneurysm a couple of years ago. Getting old sucks and and I'm glad I didn't put off retirement. Also, my eating & exercise are better than my brothers. I hope I can last a while, but ya never know...knock on wood. |
Afternoon all.
I got everything except the suitcases packed in the 911. I spent the afternoon programming a few days of the trip into the GPS. There is a program I can run on the little tablet and then upload the route to the GPS. It is tedious and a real challenge. They sure don't make it easy or logical. |
Jim growing old sucks, but it is a great privilege that is denied to many. Several of my friends never made 30, 40 or 50 much less beyond.

Hay Sid, did you enjoy that 114 degrees today? Oh ya, that dry heat. ;)
Mid 80s and sunny tomorrow here. |
Glen, my ass was on a beach in San Diego today! ;)
Sitting in my jacket in 63 degrees while the kids swim. Really not looking forward to returning to the heat! |
Oldest sibling, bro turned 78 Thurs. He is into jogging, healthy diet, and vitamins. He has had two open heart surgeries with multiple bypasses each time. And, well, whatever the extraterrestrials did when he got abducted before the heart surgeries.
Grandmother had 3 sisters that interestingly enough married 3 brothers. The youngest of the 3 brothers was a health nut, even back in the 1930's. Ate a super healthy diet (demanded everything being just so so when he visited) and exercised every day. The other two brothers teased him all the time about it. Probably because he demanded you fix food to follow his healthy diet when he visited. He passed in his 50's. The other two brothers were pretty wild. They both lived into their 90's with one making it to within a month of his 100th birthday. |
Well, someone hit the sportster while it was parked. It's fixable, but the subframe is tweaked so there's a chance it'll be totaled.
|
You've got **** luck man.
|
seriously. We'll see what the insurance adjuster says monday.

We I went to San Diego we had a day on the beach for Parade. We went to the Navy base and it was pristine, no crowd and trash. I stuck my foot in the water and experienced shrinkage of body parts at the other end of my leg. That water was COLD and I was done with the water. I can't imagine wanting to swim in that. |

Replaced the cabin filter in the Odyssey today. I've not replaced it since we bought the van in 2012. It wasn't horrible but new is always better. I did the one in the Suquinox last year. It's a rainy, thunderstormy day here so we are inside, for the most part. We met up with my bro last night after visiting with Mom. Her heart is only working at 30% and there isn't much they can do except for medication. I suppose the inevitable is coming soon. We are prepared as much as possible and she is not afraid. |
Stijn!!
Phew. Another yard mowing done. I always wear ear phones so I can listen to music and mute the noise of the lawn equipment. When I come in to take a shower I like to continue to hear the music. I have a small Bluetooth speaker that I just continue the music so I can listen while I clean up.
The point of all of this story is the speaker is of course made in China. A female voice says "connect to Bruetooth" when you turn it on. As I shut it down she says "Brutooth cancered" For some stupid reason I grin every time. |
After starting out foggy, it's mostly sunny here. I think I need to get some Vitamin D. :)
