I feel like I have been hit by the same truck that seems to be making the rounds. Mine has to do with splitting 3 cords of firewood last weekend, and then working on my car and tractor throughout the week......i'm not getting any younger !

Hippy Friday!

The ambulance situation yesterday was for carbon monoxide poisoning. According to the local news, 1 person was dead and another is in critical condition. We didn't know the folks.

They were running a generator in the house. :(

Why don't people get it? An entire family was killed a few months back in the same situation, running a generator in the house.

Wait, doesn't everyone? :p

Good Friday morning. Hey Jim, nana nana boo boo you don't get to enjoy a Friday anymore!

I saw a funny sight on the side of the highway the other day in the rain. It was some sort of 4x4 Jeep like vehicle that had broken down and pulled over on the shoulder. The funny part was he had been out in the mud or has been driving down a long dirt road. The car was covered in mud, and it looked like the old pig-pen drawings in Charlie Brown. It was a huge pile of mud on the road that had washed off from the rain.

Some poor tow truck driver will get filthy hooking up and some mechanic is really gonna have fun trying to work on mud encased crap. Maybe it just ran out of gas and the owner can get it running easily.

Mertnin.

Eyeball aching when I woke up this morning. Go to doc this morning to get the bandages taken off and see if it were a success.

The lady renting the house next door to my dad's house did not pay her electric bill. They cut her off and she had to pay the owed bill and a big deposit to get connected. Instead she bought a nice Honda generator which had to cost more than the electric bill and she ran that poor thing for an entire summer. She was finally evicted from the house for non payment of her rent (big surprise) and the landlord had to pay to get the house back into shape to rent.

At least she was smart enough to put the generator on the back porch and chain it down.

RKDinOKC 04-22-2016 06:24 AM

When I bought this house we moved all the utilities in Mom's name to not have to pay the deposits. Stupidly put everything in my name when she passed and had to pay deposits to City and Electricity, but the Gas company was cool. The electric company said I had to pay a higher deposit because my credit score was bad. Thought a credit score of over 750 was was real good! What a rip off, the bustards

GH85Carrera 04-22-2016 06:47 AM

Yea, when my dad died and I called all the utilities to change the mailing address they all kept asking for my SSN. I told them is was 555-55-5555 and for some reason they did not like that. I said listen, I am a current customer at my house and you have a long term history of my account. It is on automatic pay so it is never ever late. ONLY my bank and my employer get my SSN. By LAW no one else is entitled to it. I usually had to talk to a supervisor's supervisor to get them to OK changing the billing address. It was almost fun calling AT&T and killing the home phone line and the DSL internet connection. They started off with the same guff about my SSN. I told them "this is simple, if you want to get the last month paid at all, kill the connection right now, and send me the bill at my house." They decided that would work.

It happened with charcoal grills in El Centro. It is one thing to have a clean burning gas range but a grill or worse, a generator?

ckelly78z 04-22-2016 08:30 AM

I get really pizzed off at my son when he spraypaints something in the enclosed garage (which is located under the master bedroom).....I smell that crap all night long. I can't imagine firing up a grill or a generator inside of the house ! DOH

Rats, we the mailman delivered a booklet on business practice techniques. The cover was large text for a seminar about:

"Unacceptable Employee Behavior" and we were disappointed when it was really about how to STOP that, not secrets of how to get away with it! That is no fun at all.

I bet they don't cover burping and farting contests, really dirty disgusting jokes or best napping on the job techniques. I guess we will have to try to come up with our own techniques.

Porsche-poor 04-22-2016 09:47 AM

sounds like you have a good start. One just needs to put it on paper.

Could be the new best seller!

Moving the Line: How to keep your job and be "bad" at it.

Got back from post op exam. Says he did good. Can see better no more black cob webs or floaters, and all the little gray dots are gone, but said will still be blurry for a couple of weeks. Hurts when the light changes and/or when I blink. Will probably take a T3 and go back to sleep.

Porsche-poor 04-22-2016 10:30 AM
