When was home bored/recovering spent a lot of time watching movies and shows.
Only it wasn't my shoulder, it was my foot so was stuck laying down or reclining with my foot elevated.

Got a internet connected Sony Bravia TV that has Sony's movie rentals, and bunch of other movie and series sources, some free, some pay, TV itself did netflix, amazon, crackle, etc. It even had a channel that did nothing but stream funny youtube videos. It was like AFV without all the chatter, just the videos

Also have AppleTV, Cable TV, and a Mac Mini rigged up to stream movies to the TV.

Several movies and series were on Youtube for a short time and was able to watch them on the TV as well using the computer.

When I found a movie I wanted to watch then would find the cheapest place to watch it from. Sometimes it was Youtube or some other internet source. Sometimes it was Netflix, sometimes Sony, sometime AppleTV, sometime cables view on demand.

Aslo subscribed to a service like netflix but was all anime and watched a lot of those.

The important thing was to find the stuff without commercials. If there was more than one commercial I would fall asleep. So didn't really watch live TV much.

Also got an iPad and played all the Angry Birds and a few other time consuming games.

For the first 7 months they were putting a powder on my foot that was growing all the flesh back. During that time the nerves growing in was painful. Was on several different pain killers that I switched between and couldn't do much that required critical thinking.

The funniest videos were cats being startled. The funniest comedian was Ben Bailey. Humor was effected by pain killers.

Also spent time searchin on the internet and reconnected up with people I hadn't seen or heard about since High School and/or college. That was kind of neat to find out what they had done and where they are now.

Let's see some of the non main stream movies and anime I can remember are...My Name is Nobody, A man called Trinity, They still call me Trinity, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Captain Harlock space pirate. There is an Anime pirate thing called One Piece that I am still watching. It's on it's 18th season and still adding episodes.

I braved the half hour drive down the Tanami Hwy today. Bumpy wasn't good and the drive there was much more tolerable than the drive home 8.5 hours later. After lunch I could hardly tolerate sitting, and for the last few hours of the day I was kneeling in front of my desk. Got home and flaked out on my belly for a couple of hours before I felt better. My leg is feeling great, the knife wound in the back is still angry and sore.

Okay stijn doctors, is it healing okay?

Just looking at and comparing previous photos, and it doesn't look any worse. That's prolly a good thing.

Put some honey on that. I've got some in a tube my wound care Doc gave me for my foot. Said it was the same as you get at the store, except it's in a tube instead of a jar so they can charge more.

I suppose I could put some honey on a crumpet, then tape the crumpet to my back over the wound. That'd give me some padding for the trip to work, and a handy snack at morning smoko.

That might work. I had lots of gauze pads and no crumpets or even a biscuit.

Morning.

When I broke my right foot in 2008 I was immobile for about 2 days before I couldn't stand it anymore. I was on vacation the week after I had the accident but I couldn't drive the 911 because my cast wouldn't fit in the pedal box.

Back in the early 90s I broke my right wrist. Had it set and a cast installed and was back to work the next day. I worked for 6 weeks with it and then played a concert 4 days after it was removed.

Next month I get neutered and they recommend bed rest for 2 days after. I will try but doubt I can sit still for that long.

Oh jeez, nothing worse than them stitches in yer chicken skin handbag getting grabbed by yer reg grundies mid stride. It pulls you up in a bloody hurry. Be prepared for anyone walking behind you to get real annoyed when you randomly halt in front of 'em.

Lol. A real good tip; make sure they're proper numb before they start cutting. It's really not a lot of fun when they don't wait long enough (emotionally scared for life)
