Drywall and hobby should never be used together!

You see, I am on time, dependable, and work hard. Those traits seem to have folks asking me to help with many different jobs.

Just today, a Pelican bud asked me to help him with the coil springs on his old Mercedes. Set that job up for next Sunday due to our wive's work schedules getting in the way. He and I work well together so it won't even be like a job, just hanging out.

Wasn't referring to you specifically. Your help on the project. They sound like the norm for construction workers that don't have a good contractor cracking the whip, ie, know they will be immediately replaced if they don't get it done, and quickly.

I see.

Hey, I made homemade pizza tonight! Deep dish for the wifey and thin crust for my daughter and I.

Pepperoni, mushrooms, pineapple, and bacon. It turned out really good.

I decided I needed to sweat more so I mowed the yard. I waited for it to cool off from 100 and when it got to 95 I fired up the mower. Golly that was fun. My sweat glands are flushed out after this weekend.

Used to do that as a kid after school (pizzas in the toaster oven). Only ours weren't so fancy: english muffin, spaghetti sauce, shredded cheese, and maybe pepperoni. Simple, but hit the spot.

I don't understand this post at all. Is it some alien language? What does it mean?

Doesn't take long for that retiredheimer's to start setting in and forgetting what life is like before retirement or is that a reference to the mild weather in Cali?

Re: mild Cali weather:

It's been hot enough these past few days that even my succulents outside are wilting.

We did that, too. I can't get my kids to eat them, though.

Slice of Italian bread, butter, garlic powder, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni...mmmm good.

May have to start making my own pizza dough again so I can make small single serving pizzas for myself.

In college worked at a pizza joint. For several years after I made my own whole wheat pizza dough.
Used to make a deep dish pizza that the crust was about and inch thick and the toppings were about 5 inches thick.
Everyone really liked it. Some people even had me make them for them, charged $40 for one. Just one slice was a meal.

Good Monday morning all, except Jim.

Hey Jim,

I was looking at the temps across the country yesterday. It was even 91 in Jay, Vt. Everyone expects Phoenix, AZ and Needles, CA to be 110 but in Monterey it was 68.

So, I've started taking Pepper for a walk around the block to get her more better leash trained. Usually go somewhere around 6:30 or 7am while it is cool out. She loves it.

I did notice something. Being morning there are always several neighbors out and around or driving to work. The women all wave and say good morning as we walk by. When they drive by they always wave. The men do and say nothing. Just found it interesting. Wonder if it takes more coffee to make men sociable of a morning.

Training Pepper to go up into a yard or driveway and sit when a car comes by.

Don't have to worry about scooping after her on the walk because she goes on command in her spot in the back yard before we leave for a walk.
Actually when I ask if she wants to go for a walk or ride, she goes to the back door so she can go take care of business before we go.

Aren't dogs fun!

Morning all. Tempting fate I drove the 911 to work today. If the neck acts up by 4 I'll have to call in a driver. But it sure was fun to come to work today.

You do make it sound enticing. However, think I will stay home. Been thinking about playing hookie or maybe just taking a couple of days vacation.
