Was supposed to sprinkle a bit today and stop around 9:00. The weather channel says it was partly cloudy but it dumped a ton of rain all day. Don't have to top off the pool and the CYA will go down some.
Anyone have a line on a good solar cover? Ours is falling apart after a few years. No biggie since we got it really cheap but can't find them that cheap anywhere now and don't want to pay $200 for one just like it. With the farm fields all around we need a debris cover for fall/winter use as well. 20' round pool.

Morning fellas!
The weather talkers are calling for heat/humidity here today and then storms tonight. Today is the last Friday at school for the kids. I'm making popcorn again and my son has a visit to the middle school for a tour. yeeha!

Howdy everyone.
It seems strange that tomorrow I start my journey into the land of the Yankees. It should be interesting. It sees like it has been years in the planning stages. Tomorrow the driving begins. I got the yard mowed and the 911 is 90% packed. I will get a full tank of gas this afternoon, and finish finding places to stuff the 911 to get it all in there.

Our kids have been out of school a week but they had a school trip to Crystal Lake Caves today. They have both been there before but they are excited.
So Glen, has your 911 doubled in weight with all the packing?

Saw this on "The Drive" this morning. Looks like he had to stop in the lot to look at a map. Sucks when your brakes fail though.

He blows through the gates and just keeps going. Rolling the stop signs in the hotel parking lot is no major deal but driving on the wrong side of the public road sure is. He needs his license pulled for a while.

Spent the morning trying to explain to one of our sales directors why he didn't want different passwords for each of the different services we are using in Office365 and why he did not want to make a new account every time he logged on. Ended up having to pass him off to the Director of IT. Then he still called his boss and his boss turned in an IT Help ticket saying his email did not work any more. It was because the IT Director had changed the password for Office365 so his old password no longer worked in Outlook. Amazes me the company is capable of selling anything.

We had a guy that was the best sales person the company has ever had. He was an ex-Clevland Browns football player. The put him in charge of our Oklahoma Area Sales and gave him a company vehicle. A Ford Excursion. He went thru 4 differentials in it in a year. When he backed out of a parking spot or someplace he would just shift to drive instead of stopping with the brakes first. He claimed Ford were crap cause he kept going thru differentials.

In his defense, somewhat, he really didn't have any brakes when he got to that turn so plowing through the gate I understand. I have no explanation for driving on the wrong side of the road. Maybe he got hit in the head by part of the gate and that explains the time he took in the lot. He seemed really lost for a while.

Early end of day for me. I'm home already.
Wife approved the purchase of a new Sawsall and threw in one of those oscillating multi-tool things. I used one whilst taking the cabinets out and it impressed me at how much easier than a circular or reciprocating saw it worked in tight areas. Menards has them both on sale until tomorrow. Yeah, they are probably cheap versions but for me that works just fine.

I've had my brakes go out on me on the track before. And it was on the track where you brake from the fastest straight into the slowest corner when the pedal hit the floor instead of braking. I was also using the session to practice seeing how late I could brake which didn't help any. I was able to save it, keep it on the track and actually make the corner...but...I took 4 more turns in a daze before I really realized what had happened, and an entire lap of coasting around the track before I came into the pits. So the driver may really have been dazed about the ordeal and been just trying to figure out how to get back to the pits.
